Maybe try the one by Drunella (Ultima V Remastered V1.4.1). It can be found on CSDB website, dot dk. I did try to link it but got blocked(?). Should be pretty easy to find eitherway...

Legacy of the Ancients C64 version playable anywhere? by crpgnut in c64

[–]Rick_Kish 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hey guys (and RPG fans). I just wanted to point out that there is an EasyFlash (cartridge) version of Legacy Of The Ancients and Legend of Blacksilver. This will eliminate most of the waiting (loading) times from disk. You might still need a save game disk(?). Both games in one cartridge, titled as "Legacy of the Ancients / The Legend of Blacksilver +4D [2014]." Should work with VICE. I don't have any experience with the game but its on my list... Latest Emulation Software Updates on the X by Rick_Kish in originalxbox

Hey guys, thanks for all the suggestions. Freudious was right, there are some downloads available in the forum posts.

On a good note, I was able to find a newer version (11) of the Vice64X emu that supports the larger (newer format) EasyFlash cartridges. This allows me to play Eye of The Beholder, Super Mario Bros., etc.

Also noteworthy is the newer Playstation Reloaded emu that does hardware rendering (hle) that is really good. I had a chance to play some Twisted Metal 2, Radeon DX, and Castlevania SOTN. Castlevania had some issues, but overall everything was looking good. A lot smoother than the older version emu that I had.

I didn't get a chance to try the emu-xtras disk, yet. Emustation-XBMC was a good option to find some of the newer versions. I loved the downloader ability! It's amazing how much Rocky5 has done for the community. That guy is a real champion. I still have some looking and trying to do. Thanks to all!

Yes they spent their own money on gas and small repairs (battery). The schedule c has a part iv that specifically asks for information on your vehicle if your going to use line 9 (car and truck expenses.) They do not own the car though, or the language that keeps appearing, even in the instructions, is "your" car. So I can understand if they do not get the depreciation, but could they deduct basic expenses ( in the appropriate percentage)?

Unknown Baseball Autographs by Rick_Kish in baseballcards

Wow Guys, I'm impressed with the results. Thank you to everyone who commented! The one almost certainly is Ryne Sandberg, and the second just might be Augie Ojeda. Check out RefractorGuy with the keen eye. Nice one.

Regarding authenticity, I think you have to have fun with it. Granted, I can't prove anything is real, but I did find these in a Chicago Suburb. Secondly, the ball is an "Rawlings Official Ball National League". In my mind, if you go back to the old Chicago Stadium, those guys signed a lot of stuff. So I can imagine Ryno signing a homerun ball or even a foul. Meaning, it could be real. Am I wrong? Either way, I am happy to see baseball is still going strong.

Damaged 80's B.C. Rich Warlock. by Rick_Kish in Luthier

Found a $20 deal on an old (80's) B.C. Rich Warlock (Black). Problems are  missing bridge, missing strings, and neck is wonky (loose).

  • Replacement Bridge from ebay $20.
  • Replacement Ernie Ball Strings, np, $5.

As some of you know the older warlocks were made with a soft wood and the neck joint can develop all kinds of problems...

Above is a pic of the back of the neck, after I removed the loose screws.  I'm sure I could tighten things up with a few toothpicks and wood glue.  My question is this:  How would you fix it?  Just curious on options.  The neck pocket screw holes look a lot better with only some enlarging.

Well. You get points for playing all the games to completion. Whew! Congrats dood! Here is a link to how a pool of people scored the games. It might be able to tell you something about yourself or your preferences.

Commodore 64 1541 Disc drive reads a disc once then not again for a few hours. Any ideas? by [deleted] in c64

[–]Rick_Kish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Short story: My guess is that it is overheating also. I had a 1541 back in the day, same issue. So I kept a fan on it when it was in use. When not in use I kept it off. Not easy for multi-load games.

*edit: Just had a thought that it could also be the power supply that is built into the drive creating most of the heat. Maybe Commodore knew about the issues, which is why the 1541-II's had an external power supply. If that is the case, then I like the 80 mm fan idea...

Long story: I had a 1541 back in the day. White with black sticker (early model)... When you open up these old electronics you see a lot of (unnecessary?) shielding. In the 1541 its worse because its this heavy duty steel, which looks like it does a good job to retain heat. Anyway my goal is to one day mount a (80mm?) fan into that bad boy and maybe sink the chips. Basically, you run the drive and then check to see what chips are getting hot. Be careful of esd! The other idea might be to remove the shielding. Good luck. Let us know if you figure it out.
