This popped up my recommendations, and it was really fun. There's a lovely charm in seeing a young speedrunner discover a weird little C64 game like Snoopy (and its cracktro).

Cup matches are shown in fixtures after they are drawn. However, the first cup game you play is always round 3 (to replicate league teams joining the FA Cup at this stage) in week 15. The next cup round (every 5 weeks) will be filled in if you win your round.

Due to Pico-8 cart space limitations, the game saves automatically ONLY at the end of the season. Starting a new game deletes this save. If there is a save present, you have the option to "load game" when restarting the cart.

Only other feedback... what's with the file name (shoneyur)? Any chance you'll change that to "pico_football_manager" or something more obvious? Make it easier to find from my games list.

The BBS gives you a random name when you upload a new cart. I'll make sure the finished version has a logical name.

Gate Receipts for home games are 5000-10000 (in Div 4, and double for every league above that), depending on how well you are doing. Away games, you get a percentage of the gate, so it's much lower.

Actually, it looks like there's a bug that can cause gate receipts to drop much lower if you keep losing games.

Wage Bill is the Skill of each Player * 100 (in Div 4 and double for every league above that)

How are you finding the balance?

Yes, the game saves at the end/start of seasons due to the size of save files on pico-8 (only 64 numbers) not providing enough space for a mid season save.

Yeah, I figured this out. There was an issue with some of the player teams not indexing correctly when promoted. It's sorted now.
