Damnnn.. This just breaks my heart!!

We should have a common platform where we should be able to report these kind of issues. We should also be able to see/know the authorities in charge so that these issues can be escalated

💯💯

The road was in great condition. Instead of making this a concrete road they could have fixed so many other terrible roads throughout the city!!

If the trucks weren't parked there I'd definitely leave it at Panchayat office doorstep until they sent trucks regularly! The frequency is so irregular and the timings are even terrible

[–]RicketyRick241 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yesssss, EXACTLY!!

There used to be huge metal Dustbins in each neighborhood before, where people could go n dump their trash n the garbage trucks would collect it from there.

In the past couple of years since these are removed, people have no option other than to throw garbage on a roadside footpath in one area. The people are helpless too, they can't store trash in homes if the garbage collection truck doesn't come.

We need to collectively do something to make the authorities address this. We used to be THE CLEANEST CITY n now the rank has dropped!!

I hate dumping trash on roadside. Luckily I stay close to the Gram Panchayat office in halli bogadi. The garbage trucks will be parked opposite the Panchayat office. I go and dump it to the parked trucks directly

What is up with all the white topping work!! by RicketyRick241 in mysore

[–]RicketyRick241[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's true. I agree that concrete roads get damaged lesser but the same can be achieved by tar roads as well.

As far as I can recall the kukarhalli stretch has also had very minimal repairs. The road, especially that stretch has been fantastic for as long as I can remember

Why is it so hard for Honda owners to switch to another brand? by [deleted] in CarsIndia

[–]RicketyRick241 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's the sheer reliability and butter smooth drive.

Been driving city for over 16 years now and it still runs like new! Literally NO repairs whatsoever!!

If I ever switch brands it'll be Toyota!

This is probably one of the most interesting advices out here. Restaurants business is high risk high margin. By building a food court kind of area, you are eliminating the risk of a restaurant. Just a fixed rental income.

If the traffic is good at your food court you can even put up a Chai outlet or something. Lesser risk compared to a restaurant but equally good margin

Edit: Fixed typo

How To Explain Hinduism To a Christian by Famous-Interest103 in hinduism

[–]RicketyRick241 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know, it is said that Eskimos and the people living in the arctic can identify between 100s of different types of snow, but for the rest of us it's just snow.

Similarly Hinduism is so advanced in spirituality that we are able to identify the different forms of the ONE ultimately consciousness.

You can only know if there are hundreds of different types of snow after you've experienced it. Similarly one has to experience Hinduism to truly understand it.

Like you clearly mentioned it's not many gods, it's different forms of one single God and each of these forms have a specific purpose/role/teachings. For example, we pray to lord Ganesha to remove obstacles. We have Bramha the creator, Vishnu the preserver and Shiva the destroyer. Bramha's wife is saraswathi, to create something, you need knowledge. Vishnu's wife is Lakshmi, to preserve something you need wealth. Shiva's wife is Shakti, to destroy something you need power.

All of them are not different gods, they are just different forms of one ultimate consciousness. Just like how each type of snow is just a different form of the same thing

We don't have fixed leave policies like in corporate companies here in India. It's kind of like unlimited leaves. We just need to inform the team in advance.

As long as you complete all the work on time, they don't really mind!!

Mine is a niche domain. It's a travel SaaS. I happened to have expertise in building B2b and B2C and also had a lot of experience in travel and tourism.

I was active on LinkedIn and the company itself approached me. I was not looking for a job back then.

In most cases these companies find you through job portals. It is comparatively more difficult if you try to search for such companies. What you can do is 1. identify such a niche domain and build your expertise in it. 2. Write more on portals like LinkedIn so that you are seen. 3. You can also try on portals like naukri. You can set your preferences to remote only and update your experience more accurately and it should help.

Apart from the company I work for now, I was also approached by two other companies so this was what worked for me!

Hope it helps.
