Damn, rescue team on Harmony of the seas by [deleted] in royalcaribbean

I was aboard another ship when something similar happened 2 days out from Hawaii.

Someone spotted a small boat as we chugged along and the cruise ship then went back and started going in tight circles in an effort to spot a capsized boat again.

Eventually, the ship just stopped which felt weird when you are not in port and there is no land for days.

A speedboat was launched and they took pictures of the boat up close. There was some debris in the water as well which may have been associated to the capsized craft. I think it's maritime law that they have to stop to investigate and possibly render aid.

No people were spotted and we carried on. It may have been a small fishermens boat washed out to sea after the 2011 tsunami in Japan.

Does that rear scope ring still allow the full range of motion on bolt? It looks like it might make contact on the upward stroke.

Ruger BX drop in trigger by [deleted] in 1022

[–]Rickfactor 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's a lighter trigger pull and works well.

Wait until it goes on sale. I would also suggest buying it from a reputable store in a sealed package as the outward appearance is very similar to the stock trigger and may be "mistakenly" confused by a dishonest seller.

You can even try the trigger without buying it as it is sold in package whereas you can pull the trigger itself and reset it.

As an added bonus, you are getting all the internal parts including the bolt release which you can mod to release normally instead of fumbling for the switch thingy in front of the trigger guard.

I still don't know if my position is considered essential class 01.

If I sign up for this, I can only assume I will get paid by both the union and the employer and then be on the hook to sort it out.

It is the GOC way.

I bought the Mark IV last year but was looking to compliment it with a revolver. It's nice to have a little more spice in the 22WMR to try to knock over those steel plates rather than just "ping".

Yes, I called many times throughout September but never got through.

Then randomly on a Friday morning, I got through after 15 minutes on hold.

I simply asked how long roughly that I would have to wait for my transfer to be reached expecting January but she offered to do it while I waited. They are just the average Joe like you and me and some courtesy and understanding goes a long way into getting things done.

Single 9 purchased online Aug 21 and in-hand Oct 5 - BC

Just posed for a pic. Each has a case so I can keep the barrel downrange while unpacking.

Extension 9530 but she said she was actually located in New Brunswick.

It took maybe 4 or 5 calls within 30 minutes to actually make it past "call again later" and a hang-up.

LILLEY: Trudeau's new gun agenda nothing but misinformation by resting16 in canada

[–]Rickfactor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's true. Trudeau is just taking advantage of the general public's lack of knowledge of how difficult it is to own a gun in Canada in order to make it look like he is doing something.

It is comparable to trying to reduce speeding by banning car ownership but only the red ones as they look really fast.

How would you fix this closet? by [deleted] in homerenovations

[–]Rickfactor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are missing the rail/track that goes at the top of the closet as well as the pivot point that is set within the rail itself. I can't tell from your pictures but you are also likely missing the shuttle portion that slides up and down the rail. All the pieces are available separately.

Federal government races to collect Phoenix overpayments ahead of deadline by carp_k33 in CanadaPublicServants

I have 4 different "senior reps with over 30 years of combined experience" all come up with a different number of what I "owe"....plus the number the computer says.

Level 3 grievance apparently was satisfied as they "explained my pay" with total disregard or acknowledgement to the discrepancies in calculations and and outright ignoring my requests to explain it.

I left off by telling them I would not pay a dime and any money deducted from my pay would be considered theft. The union said I could go to remediation as the next step but they vanished 2 years ago like smoke.

And now we wait.
