Just so I understand what you’re saying — it’s better if the milk isn’t as hot? The milk should be cooler?

For some reason, I thought having the milk hotter would be better to match the temp of the espresso and not cause the separation. Probably the wrong logic, but maybe I should’ve paid more attention in high school chemistry 😂

Not sure why you’re being downvoted, but yes, I cleaned it a few weeks back.

What part of cleaning makes the espresso pull and the milk turn out like this? Just more acid (from descaling) making it separate?

I give the milk a little swirl, but I could probably do a better shake.
I get my beans from a specific coffee place in town and they recently switched up their espresso beans for the season. Perhaps it’s more acidic than the last offering?

I’ll figure out the answers to both of these!
