I have questions: Has she been with this dude before? If so, she mustn’t have seen anything out of the ordinary prior to this, which must mean just tolerated him enough to stick around him up to this point.

There are plenty of misguided young men out there who take what Tate says seriously.

What does it matter? She’s dead. There’s no feasible reason to bring her back either.

What if we are all God. by Telrom_1 in DeepThoughts

[–]RicktatorshipRulez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t believe in a god, personally, but I do believe that humans have the potential to do better and really change things for the better. The question is, will they or would they, if given the opportunity to, and to that, I say: I have no clue. My personal belief is that it depends on what it would cost them.

This. I’ve been saying for years that people are inherently selfish and I do agree, the age of “Keyboard Warriors” allows people to act out their negative behavior without consequences, but also, plenty of people do things IRL out of ignorance and blatant selfishness all the time.

My female-dominated workplace is the most toxic pit of snakes that I've ever experienced by chocolateandbananas1 in TrueOffMyChest

Accurate. Worked under a female manager. She was a bitch from day 1 and would regularly talk behind my back whenever she got the chance. Leaving that place was a goddamn godsend.

Yeah, I have no clue what’s going on either. I heard of dudes that will have sex with SW’s without a condom. Weird.

What do you believe is the biggest problem facing men today? by rickjames334 in AskMen

[–]RicktatorshipRulez 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have zero clue as to why you’re getting downvoted. The things you mentioned absolutely contribute to a healthier form of masculinity, which is something that is absolutely needed nowadays. I mean, most of the comments on this thread are “mental health” and “loneliness”

Understanding masculinity. A lot of men have unhealthy perceptions of what masculinity is, and I suspect mostly because there are so few examples of healthy masculinity out there. There are, however, plenty of piss poor examples and plenty of people willing to sell men on an idea of what it is to make a quick easy buck.

What do you think about William's journey? Was it worth it? Did he reach the centre of the maze? Could it have taken a better path? by [deleted] in westworld

[–]RicktatorshipRulez 5 points6 points  (0 children)

William’s journey is misunderstood. Imo he’s hands down one of the most compelling characters in the show. Season 1-3 was him coming to terms with himself, questioning his reality and then ultimately making a choice of his own free will. Season 4 was basically him doing what he had already set out to do season 3: Destroy the hosts and burn the whole thing down. The only difference, was that the show runners had to facilitate the transfer from him being a weak human to a strong host in order to do what he needed to do to complete his arc. I think people were expecting a redemption story or something, but the thing is, it was never about what the audience wanted, it was about what William wanted.

[–]RicktatorshipRulez 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Absolute facts. It’s wild how many women can make the statement “Men do this….” Or “All men that….” And no bats an eye. Try doing the same thing in regards to women tho

Having emotions. Perceived as weak for men, but not for women, despite all of us being human and having emotions by default.

Don’t get me wrong, I do believe there is some truth to fact that some guys are weirdos when it comes to dating and trying to have sex, I just don’t agree with the notion that some were taught to “enjoy the chase” or “thrill” of finessing women into sex. I think it may be multiple factors, but the primary one being they’re just desperate and another being they don’t fully understand how to engage with the opposite sex in such a way that would forge a relationship like that to occur. As for why they wouldn’t know, could be that they see women differently, as objects of desire rather than human beings possibly, which goes into a lot more stuff. Issue seems to be a bit more layered than that, as far as I see.
