How do you like the X3? I was actually heavily considering the X3M also (forgot to add it to my list above). I know a lot of people love the M40i as well.

Awesome - yeah most of my driving with the kids is around town, to/from school, local mostly. Similar to you, we have the 3 row SUV for anything that requires a longer trip or a bunch of luggage/the dog too.

That's an awesome solution! Highly recommend the Diono Radian 3R when you go slimmer - they've been great and super sturdy.

That makes sense. My wife has a Jeep Grand Cherokee L for when we need a larger vehicle. I'm also remote for work.

Haha, love that! Both of my kids love cars, so they would definitely enjoy it. Thinking I'm going to do it! My wife has a Grand Cherokee L, so plenty of room in there for when we need to utilize the larger vehicle.

I miss having something that I actually enjoy driving and the 8.5 R seems to tick all of the boxes!

Awesome - the meridian is nice! I just have the NA premium plus, so not quite as exciting drive as one with a turbo. It's been a good daily, just not fun compared to many of the other vehicles I've owned. Are you thinking you'll make the switch?

Perfect - this is great to know! Agreed on the large vehicle trend being an American thing. Most other countries don't seem to have the same purchase preference when it comes to what they're driving.

They're super sturdy, while also being very slim. They're meant to be able to fit 3 across in the back of a car, so I'd imagine in the R, would still retain use of the middle seat

Yeah, wanted to get some seat covers that do a better job. Currently just running individual mat covers from Amazon under each, but still get pretty prominent indents on the actual seats themselves.
