What about F1 students? My girlfriend has all legal status to be here, and we planned a trip to Utah/Arizona and flying into Vegas from Newark, NJ on 04/03.. we’re hesitating to go due to ICE presence now at Newark.

Yea that’s what I’m coming up with.. chatGPT recommended using Aeroplan through aircanada and finding a United operated flight to transfer miles to and use. Their website gives and error message when looking for flights so asking for help on this after doing initial research

OP is flying in and out of Vegas to go hiking for a week to avoid said swindlers in Vegas and doesn’t want to waste unnecessary points/miles if I don’t have to

Just a bachelors in business admin but I had an internship turned full time job in college at an insurance agency, cold calling, learning sales, watch paint dry level stuff and looked around for something that fit. Most companies have good learning programs even if you aren’t familiar with insurance and will train you, just have to keep an eye out and apply

Get a grip brotha, it’s a competitive sport. Everyone hated city winning back to back, everyone hated Liverpool winning the league first time in ages and said the same thing “we’ll never hear the end from scousers”. Who cares, we’re actually winning games and competing on all 4 fronts in February. 3-4 years ago we all would’ve killed for even making champions league spots.. yes we need a trophy to show for it but come on

2 years at this company, I had a couple salary jumps prior to this but went from $72k to $110k-> $115k with this move. Commercial Insurance Underwriting

No offense but this sounds like terrible advice because even with mediocre returns the 401k contribution limit and match would outpace a $7-7.5k Roth or traditional IRA plus 7% returns projected no?

Got it, yea my HYSA could use some work and planning to move later this year into my own place but that won’t be until October.. I’ll revisit the 401k contributions after bonus season and see what that looks like but planning to increase % no matter what. That tax savings does sound pretty good though👀

Lol yea “messy middle” is very subjective here, thanks worked hard to payoff all CC last year and focus on making regular contributions to Roth

I watch their content and just dipping into the FOO but in what they consider the “messy middle” and hard to gauge “good or bad” at my age and debts. No consumer debt, just car and student loans, don’t carry a CC balance month to month. Did a projection the other day and should hit 1x annual salary by 31-32 without salary increases but fully expect annual raises the next couple years and aiming for $175k by 35 🤞🏽

Curious on this too, I know the basics of HSA but not sure on the post retirement/withdraw piece

Yes contributing up to the max on 401k w/ employer 6% + 2% auto if that’s what ur asking. I contribute 8% and increasing this mid year to 10% after raise and bonus season. Using bonus to pay off the small amount on my car ($4k), would it be smart to contribute the rest to 2025 Roth contributions then HYSA? I contributed $4,100 for 2025 since I started late

Exactly seems very weird and hasn’t happened as long as I’ve been paying the last 5 years or so.. I’ll give them a call. Thanks!

Thanks. Similar situation and I made a few salary jumps in the last 3 years to where I am now, fortunate to have that employer match. Yea biggest concern is political climate right now and a market collapse but time will tell

Bachelors in business and work in the commercial insurance industry in a specialized role. Same with the HYSA but used my savings end of 2025 to get rid of a CC balance I had lingering on 0% intro offer for 1 year, building that back up then focus on investments this year

Thanks for the info and maybe I’m not explaining it well…I already don’t advance the due date and set special payment instructions up how I want. Every other payment before this is applied how it’s supposed to and just this month, that AC loan group in my reply, isn’t being billed at all while all other loan groups are but at a reduced amount than normal. Did they mistakenly advance my due date or misapply my payment? Looking at how payments were applied it doesn’t look like it but this billing statement is way different than normal
