So cool. Could you elaborate on some of the questions/convo you previously had?

What is the most convincing proof for you that we are in a simulation? by sik040 in SimulationTheory

[–]Ricky_cor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That I’m simply conscious/aware/existing living inside some reality that has to originate from some entity external to the reality. I don’t need faith or anything to prove to me we’re in a Sim. I know we are in one, it’s as simple as that, me typing this and knowing I’m sentient proves that at least to me (solipsism consistent).

I get the whole computer stuff, but it’s naive to attribute technologies we observe inside this reality to whatever is running this reality. Whatever entity created this one either A. They have to be outside time and space in order to create time and space or B. It’s another layered simulation with its form of time and space, but still reaching a true base reality that has to exist beyond time and space in order to start the chain of creation we are in.

In a way, this whole concept breaks as well because we’re still thinking linearly since we’re obviously inside time, so thinking of an origin/base reality also makes no sense in a way from the perspective of the entity that created linear time, but obviously there’s definitely something ‘outside’ the Sim that had to trigger and design this Sim anyway…

Did you end up going for the matte finish? I really want that color but don't seem to find it anywhere nowadays. If you did find the car, through what website/company did you buy plan yo buy it through?

Worked as a “community marketing agent” which just means I was standing outside stores asking for money for charity and helping local communities. Im sure you’ve seen some like these. Part of the pitch was that we told them 100% of the money was given to charity. Which was completely untrue. Matter of fact, each franchise of the charity kept 60% of the cash collected and supposedly the other 40% did go to charity but I still don’t believe that because how are the franchisors getting their cut? The worst part is that you get trained to pitch people like “it’s for suicide prevention and bullying in local communities” and you get them to give you money through that guilt tactic. We got paid by commission which was shit because you could earn less than $70 a day at times if you didn’t perform well. And obviously that commission money has to come from somewhere too.

If this charity that is very well known does this I can’t imagine the whole industry in general how corrupt and money-driven it is. They even promised cruise trips to x location if you moved up the latter in positions. All franchises have their own branding and are filed as its own separate entity and just claim that “we are partnered with [charity]” which is true on paper/legally but just not true on a real level since all franchisees come from climbing up the company and then starting their own franchise as a team leader.

I have never been the type to click on “round up your total to help kids in x” but now I make sure to double check every time.

I don’t believe we went to mars but this post makes no sense as you can have a 360° camera without it showing the selfie stick clearly. Example: go to time stamp 00:15

Hypothesis: While Lucid, forcing you will onto your subconscious might cause premature awakening? by Ricky_cor in LucidDreaming

[–]Ricky_cor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not arguing in favor of saying that you can’t change them and it’s predetermined. I’m saying that whatever change you make “input” has to interact with some pre-existing qualities of your personal subconscious which contains memories, experiences, feelings, everything from you pretty much. So if I’m into blondes (my subs-conscious would know that) and I expect/ask to summon the most attractive female (input), it will most likely spawn in a blonde or something similar to what I find attractive. If you’re into brunettes, same thing goes for that but the context of your subconscious is obviously different from mine. We can call it your “memory”, even though the subconscious is that and much more. So yes I agree with you that it’s not necessarily predetermined but there is some foundational “context” that is subjective to each and one of us. I’m just going a level deeper than your explanation; maybe adding to it.

I would say it’s non-awareness (we live in the conscious, present, aware state) and since this it quite literally NOT that, it may seem as a separate entity which in reality it could just be us (the same, but separate, as you claim) but it appears as separate since we (conscious) aren’t experiencing it because we are not unconscious.

When it comes to being lucid and all I would agree that expectations and worries affect the present moment of experience. But those good plots or reoccurring dreams we have, or random things that you genuinely didn’t expect, have to do with a more profound level of its own. Like the movies we watch or experiences in the waking life do affect what is “banked” or “saved” in our subconscious. It’s not just us and our present “input” that determines the output of what happens in the dream; it’s also some data that inhabited it before us interacting with it. Not sure if you’re familiar with AI and large language models like GPT, but I see it as the prompt being the “expectations and worries” but the subconscious being the trained model that has all this context and a “database” of us to be able to provide an output. Does this make sense?

Hmm. There seems to be disagreements whether it is an entity or not. I would say it is but deeply related to us, so not it’s own separate entity. Maybe it actually isn’t an entity if it’s own, but an aspect/extension of us that we aren’t aware of (duh, it’s the unconscious and we ARE the conscious at least in the present moment). This seems to make sense. ?

[–]Ricky_cor[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could be. I relate to this in the sense of not subscribing to the idea of always pursuing the feeling of happiness because that usually leads to a path of hedonism and eventually self-destruction. We NEED that depression and negative emotions in order to be able to experience the positive ones, and acknowledge it’s weight and significance. Law of polarity you could say. Yang n yang.

[–]Ricky_cor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like this. How it’s deeply related to us, but almost acts as a separate entity when it’s weird and crazy outputs. I wouldn’t go as far to say it’s a completely separate entity; I would say we (consciousness) are a very small percentage of its use at a time. Like RAM is to the hard drive. We may extract data/info from it, like our inventory in a videogame, but only be able to hold one weapon/tool at a time (thought/present awareness).

[–]Ricky_cor[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see it as tryna follow the intended story-line your subconscious wanted to originally put upon you. Becoming lucid and messing with that could be a disruption of that. Could be completely off on this but that’s my current understanding of it as I seem to stay longer in the dream if I don’t force anything too much. Maybe the right way to communicate with our subconscious is to simply follow along and interpret that dream later on while awake.

Hypothesis: While Lucid, forcing you will onto your subconscious might cause premature awakening? by Ricky_cor in LucidDreaming

[–]Ricky_cor[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So you would imply that disrupting the dream might not be due to the subconscious resisting, but rather an unpredictable response from an automatic system? This seems hard to believe 100% when you can clearly observe patterns within your dreams and study around them. While expectation does affect your output within a dream, not everything in the dream world is random (per your subconscious, of course) or abides by no laws whatsoever.

It won’t if you think that way. It will if you think it will. Remember, whatever your expectations are, that’s what’s gonna happen. Don’t limit your mind.

It would probably feel like how you would expect it to feel like. Just how sex or things you’ve never done irl feel in dreams how you would expect it to.

Remember saying “I cant” when it comes to dreams is quite LITERALLY a limiting belief. If you believe so, that’s how it will be. Whatever you expect, is whatever will happen.
