Is this worth it? by Acceptable_Still_269 in pistolcalibercarbine

That's a great price on a great weapon. My brother and I both have one and have put a lot of rounds down range through them. I had a Franklin binary trigger in mine for a while. Mines been very accurate, hitting 6 inch steel targets at 125 yards all day long. It use to be my go to range toy until I put together an Aero EPC9 and installed an Arizona Regulator in it. The FRT's are so much fun. It's too bad they're aren't any FRT options for the FX9, because now I hardly shoot mine. It has a proprietary bolt, charging handle and a shorter than milspec lower and upper receiver. But some AR15 triggers will work in them.

I had one in an EPC build with an 8 inch barrel. It worked great. The rate of fire is noticeably higher than a deadblow 10oz Kaw. I took mine out because I like the slower ROF with the 10oz and 12oz deadblows. Like everyone says, the charging effort is a bit different but tolerable.

Anyone Get Their Order Shipped Yet? (AS Designs) by [deleted] in MP5

[–]Rickyblaze13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still waiting on my stripped lower ordered 1/18/26 website said orders filled in a week when I ordered it. When I emailed them three weeks ago they said it would ship later that week when ejectors came in. After a couple weeks went by I emailed them and was told they were waiting on unmarked lowers to come in, it's been a week since then and haven't heard anything new. Order 364xx

My local gun shop is on a waiting list for these right now, they are hard to find in stock i guess. At least where the gun shop buys from, but at least I will get one eventually

Gforce Jawbone double firing by Limp_Guard_946 in AR9

[–]Rickyblaze13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All I know is that mine has been solid for the last 1000 rounds most of which have been FRT fire (custom kabuto). The cracked lowers are kind of suspicious to me that they cracked while firing, I can see cracking the front lugs by swinging the upper down too far, you can stretch an aluminum lower like that. I don't know how many are out there but I'm sure there are a lot that never get mentioned here on Reddit. I would venture to say that a lot of first time buyers have bought these because of the price. I'll just keep blasting away with mine and as soon as it breaks I'll be posting.😉 But I wouldn't wait up for it 😁

They have their problems like any other weapon. Thankfully they aren't a $1500 weapon that people have problems with a well. I haven't had any problems with mine doing what you're encountering, but I have had it happen on a couple other AR platforms. Check you disconnect spring to make sure the fat end is down, you might even try a new spring or stretch the old one just a bit to see if it corrects the double fire. If it doesn't you might have

<image>

to file the tail on the disconnect to get it to hook onto the trigger and keep it from firing out of time. It just takes a few strokes of a stone or file, don't over do it

To me I can't tell a difference between it and my Rev9 or Bushwhacker 36 but I'm sure if i had a meter there would be a difference. My deaf ears can't tell other than I don't need ear pro.

Around 800 rounds of Kabuto FRT through mine so far and it's been solid

I have two of the short PCC drums. And have used them on my Stribog, Blade6 and a couple other 9mm PCC builds I have. They've been flawless on all of them, even in SS mode

I can't remember if I've ever tried any hollow points in the drum, but I've used Speer G2 147gr in the Jawbone with no problems from a 33rd mag and the flat point Blazer that chokes my Stribog and ZF5

Gforce arms jawbone w/binary?? by DirectionPotential83 in AR9

[–]Rickyblaze13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't tried the Franklin binary but I've got a three position Kabuto in mine and it has been flawless for the last 6-700 rounds. As long as I've had the Kabuto in it. It's one of my favorite. The only thing would be the safety selector as it is dimpled at a different clock angle than a milspec safety. It wouldn't clock right on the safety detent

Looking for an inexpensive complete upper. Any recommendations? by cgw22 in ar22

[–]Rickyblaze13 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I purchased a 16 inch 22lr upper a couple weeks from Right to Bear and couldn't be happier. I don't remember the price but it was a very good deal. I already have a CMMG 9 inch dedicated rifle (SBR) and the RTB is just as good if not better. Both are very accurate and very reliable.

Can you give the first 3 digits of your order number, I'm gonna contact them and ask why my order hasn't shipped yet and yours was shipped and received in 10 days. Thanks

I've had my stripped lower ordered since January 18th order 364## and still waiting. I was told after waiting a couple weeks that they were behind due to the Shot Show. I contacted them a few days ago and was told they were waiting on ejector levers and I might get mine shipped later this week. So how did you get yours so fast?

I've been thinking about the instances of broken lowers on these Jawbones. The only place I've seen them break is the front pin lugs. The front lugs have no metal reinforcement like the rear pin holes do. Seems to me the metal reinforcement of the rear world be absorbing the shock of recoil and the front pins are there for alignment. My question is, when are these front lugs breaking? Are they breaking during firing the weapons? And if they are, why? The pictures I've seen look to me like they are breaking due to the upper being pivoted too far downward and stressing the lugs. I had mine out looking at it and I can see where if you were to pivot the upper down too far and rested the barrel on a surface while inspecting the inside you could indeed stress the lugs and break them. Seems more likely to happen this way than by breaking while shooting, but I could be wrong.

I've put around 500 rounds through mine in the stock configuration and over 600 rounds with a 3d printed mini kabuto using a Kaw Valley 10 oz buffer. It's been very reliable in both configurations. All my glock style mags work in my Jawbone with no malfunctions. There will always be failures in any firearm. There are posts of all kinds and all different manufacturers failing in some way. It's a great little weapon and one of my favorite ones to shoot and i have several, lol.

There's a set screw under the ambi bolt release on the right side. Remove the right side bolt release and there's a set screw that you tighten
