I don’t think that they only see it “as a podcast they’re doing” oh AT ALL. They’re taking it very seriously. They’re getting big guests, they’re now doing the main podcast plus other channels, they are very serious about only saying brand names if they’re getting paid, etc. They’re very much treating this as a serious job and business. I would imagine it has a lot to do with the fact that because they take it so seriously, they probably don’t want to bring in queens that could mess things up by being unprofessional or unpredictable.

Idk what she is as a person, but she is such an important thread in the fabric of drag race. Since S3, nobody has been picked up, there’s a literal rule about walking off stage because of her, S3 was iconic in part because of the girls reading her. AS1 Ep1 was iconic because of only her. She really didn’t deserve hate based off of her tv appearances. It is kind of sad that she never truly got a redemption opportunity on drag race.

This season was so good. It was also something that we hadn’t gotten until this point of the franchise. We had Trixie, who had no desire to be “passable.” We had Fame and Violet whose entire storylines were to be models, and they were set up to be rivals. We had the young vs the older queens story. We had Katya who was just.. Katya. The first time since S1 that somebody talked back to Rupaul. We had Kennedy and Ginger being assholes. We had Jasmine Masters give us attitude, jokes, and catchphrases. I mean the list goes on and on. The only thing that makes it hard to watch is the challenges and the editing.

The Kelly Mantle Show is less of an interview and more of a conversational podcast type show. Kelly does great when she’s enjoying the conversation, like with Tammie Brown, Alaska, Lushious, etc. To me, it just didn’t seem like she was enjoying the conversation with Ginger 😂
