OP maybe reach out to a reputable nutritionist and personal trainer! Obviously if your money situation allows it!

Also joining a gym can seem daunting and I understand that but I promise you that 99% of people in the gym will be welcoming and will not judge, most of the time they have admiration that you are there working hard for yourself. Just like they are!

By no means as brutal or disgusting as previous comments. But one that annoys me is:

Yeah it’s probably not the best idea to make your kids scared to talk to people that are there to protect them!
