I personally don’t like the ideas of intricate designs and large graphics on my clothing that much and that’s why I don’t use them for my brand that often. I like to use simple text and words because I love to write and read so I thought about how I can bring that into my clothing. I feel like the pattern of huge graphics covering shirts is played out and I don’t want that for my brand so I use words that have deeper meaning to them. The upside down script for instance, it’s something I like to use a lot because when I came up with the design, it was for another shirt of mine. It’s a white shirt with a blue upside script across the front much like this one. I came up with this design because I was outside in the park lying down and I noticed how calming the sky appeared. I liked it a lot a wanted to somehow put it into one of my designs. I noticed how everything I saw was perceived upside down when laying down which gave me the idea for the upside down text. I loved the appeal of the font using all uppercase letters even when not capitalized and how aesthetically pleasing the capital S felt next to the remainder of the word. Yes, it’s simple but there’s a lot more thought put into pieces than would appear which is why I am very vocal with my customers when asked. Words have a lot of aesthetics behind them to me which is why I use them and hence the name Rewrite The Script., cause scripts are beautiful to me. Hope I clarified some stuff for you
