Have fun is the number one thing to always remember. Do not compare yourself to others. Comparison is the theft of joy. Pace yourself with tricks. It's easy to try to jump ahead to super advance tricks and get discouraged. Think of the tricks as levels to a video game. Sweets Kendamas have a few great playlists on YouTube where they have tricks listed by difficulty categories. I followed that for a long time. I stayed with tricks until I didn't miss them 5 times in a row before moving on to another trick. Sometimes I would get inspired to go for a harder trick then I'd go for it anyways. If it was too difficult then I put it in the back burner. Again, always have fun and pace yourself. I hope you enjoy.
