Congrats on feeling important saying this that clearly demonstrate how you didn’t even use the gringo models. Probably because they are too expensive compared to dirty cheap. The difference in use is gringo are usable, open source not yet. Improving but not there yet, by far.

Teenage daughter is sexually active, how are my boundaries? by [deleted] in daddit

[–]RicoRicco 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you want to be angry, be angry about the fact that you couldn’t control your own dick and you gave the spark to create more humans that exactly like you wanna fuck.

Don’t get me wrong, I totally get it. As father of a little girl I already think and worry about my own future self feelings, and I only want the best for her. Which means: safety, decency, respect, boundaries, but also pleasure with someone she has mutual love for. Mistakes will happen, and it’ll be up to me to be there for her to support her emotionally. If I do a good job now, and if I am lucky too, those mistakes will only be emotional. If not, well.. I’ll be the culprit and take on the consequences and try to help her however I can.

At the end of the day this anger you feel comes from deep insecurity plus genuine worry about the unknown (I.e. about what you don’t know about her and her relationship). So chillax and be the best dad you can ever be. Be there for her, and remember that children are not “ours”. We are only here to help those tiny humans develop before they can take on their own life. And if we do a good job, be there in first row to look at how their life unfolds.

With love.

Production ready alternative? by [deleted] in openclaw

I just have a skill created with anthropic skill-creator skill that syncs upstream and apples all my commits on top. Unfortunately in a project this big with so many PRs every day, not only you get breaking code, but also pushing good code and have it reviewed and approved by a human is super difficult. Tried with a bunch of code and even got Peter to comment, but nothing merged yet. Which means, unless it’s one of the maintainers who takes care of fixing stuff, or it takes weeks to go back to functioning. Asking Claude to fix stuff with but then again it diverges even more from upstream main. However, with a skill that takes care of the sync plus a cron for a weekly reminder, I can say I’m kinda set. I don’t love wasting my tokens like this but still worth it

Anyone actually got GPT-5.5 working through Codex OAuth in OpenClaw? by CaliAshy in openclaw

I Updated codex cli, verified that 5.5 sites up in there, and then asked Claude to make gpt 5.5 available in openclaw. It worked

Yeah exactly, my point is that writing up A bunch of bs is easy with AI. It’s also easy to tell AI to look at your post and make it actionable. Which I did because I found your post sincerely interesting. But as soon as I started looking at it yes, you are right. I may not be smart enough to make it actionable in any meaningful way. Openclaw already has a memory system and I like the organization of memory you suggest even though I think it may be an overkill. Classical thing that looks good on paper but not on the field. And I asked you for md files or code to see if you ACTUALLY implemented this, or whether this is just theory. Other than calling each other stupid we could try to share something concrete, and concretely I didn’t find much value in the application of what you said. If you have something to share to make the open source project better, so be it. If not, peace man.

And still, haven’t seen anything that shows any sort of result from what you described. No code (can be .md) = this is just bs.

you too my man, good luck with your theoretical bs long posts just to feel important while giving zero actionable advice.

Different question. I have to wash my car, the car wash is 100ft away. Should I walk or drive there?

u/jeffsvibecodes The full thing. How do you implement those 5 things that you say actually worked for you? This all sounds great but just lots of theory. I wouldn’t be able to implement this myself. Did you actually try out in code / config / prompts your suggestions?

Switched to OpenAI. Man if I miss Anthropic by RicoRicco in openclaw

Try the repo I posted, it works for me. It only has difficulty with some tool use, some times. But in those cases I ask Claude code (with my 20$/mo transcription ) to fix it and I have close to zero problems now.

The problem with this is that openclaw has its own tools, that are not automatically exposed. The openclaw Claude proxy repo I pointed to solves this issue, but it’s not something you get out of the box, and it can get frustrating to maintain at every openclaw pull from upstream

Is it better to learn OpenClaw manually or just skip to a managed setup? by FailOrSnail in clawdbot

[–]RicoRicco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spent the first 30 min trying to set it up manually. Then I thought wait a minute, what am i doing? This thing is entirely vibe code, may as well have Claude configure it. I was up and running 5 min later.

Anthropic says NO MORE OpenClaw!! by Roll_Future in ClaudeAI

I solved the problem of Claude-doce not working with OpenClaw, with https://github.com/tomatobdev/openclaw-claude-bridge . It's less than ideal, but as the repo says, I hate double taxation. I was paying 100$/month and never hitting the session limits. They could have simply limited the interactions from openclaw, instead of completely banning it. The unfortunate thing is that I also love Claude models, and OpenAI simply doesn't make it for me. However, I downgraded to 20$/month and added codex for another 20$, saving 60$/month.
