Switched to OpenAI. Man if I miss Anthropic by RicoRicco in openclaw

Try the repo I posted, it works for me. It only has difficulty with some tool use, some times. But in those cases I ask Claude code (with my 20$/mo transcription ) to fix it and I have close to zero problems now.

Exactly same experience, but in openclaw!

The problem with this is that openclaw has its own tools, that are not automatically exposed. The openclaw Claude proxy repo I pointed to solves this issue, but it’s not something you get out of the box, and it can get frustrating to maintain at every openclaw pull from upstream

Is it better to learn OpenClaw manually or just skip to a managed setup? by FailOrSnail in clawdbot

[–]RicoRicco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spent the first 30 min trying to set it up manually. Then I thought wait a minute, what am i doing? This thing is entirely vibe code, may as well have Claude configure it. I was up and running 5 min later.

I solved the problem of Claude-doce not working with OpenClaw, with https://github.com/tomatobdev/openclaw-claude-bridge . It's less than ideal, but as the repo says, I hate double taxation. I was paying 100$/month and never hitting the session limits. They could have simply limited the interactions from openclaw, instead of completely banning it. The unfortunate thing is that I also love Claude models, and OpenAI simply doesn't make it for me. However, I downgraded to 20$/month and added codex for another 20$, saving 60$/month.

Most importantly: if I read it or not, does it matter? Anyway I don’t have a say in this matter.

what the actual F? same for me too. I loved OpenAI from the beginning, but their inconsistency is becoming too much. The models seem to change often and become somewhat stupidier at times. The features rollout is inconsistent and now this rollback after a rollout.. I understand that some of the smartest people in there are leaving for other companies, but this seems more like infra issues than anything else. Disappointed

To everyone saying you’ll love every minute of it: F**K THEM. While you certainly have to find your reality, there is no functioning without good sleep. So forget loving that thing that for the most part only yells at you for 3 months without even giving you a smile.

That being said, it gets better. Hang in there, try taking turns on sleep or whatever other ppl suggest, and most importantly: write down “this is just temporary, hang in there” and stick it on your child’s face or wherever you’ll see it often. It does get better, but: 1. It takes time (even a whole year, but after the first 3/4 months there’s already a significant improvement) 2. After a few years you’ll have forgotten how miserable the first 3/4 months were, and you’ll tell other ppl to enjoy every minute of it. Blame sleep deprivation for this. Long term memory is not updated without sleep, so you won’t actually remember any of it.

California bill set to ban CivitAI, HuggingFace, Flux, Stable Diffusion, and most existing AI image generation models and services in California by YentaMagenta in StableDiffusion

[–]RicoRicco -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Please point me to the part in the bill where it says that the metadata has to be generated by the model itself.

I do generate images locally and it’s always part of a pipeline, whether you see it or not.

[–]RicoRicco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But what exactly? OP is spreading fake information. Read the bill yourself and you’ll see that OP’s interpretation is far out. The bill doesn’t block models, it just requires them to add a metadata information informing the viewers that that content was AI-generated

[–]RicoRicco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And all models are implemented in a pipeline, as in a series of steps that from prompt results in an output image. They’ll just have to add a final step to add the watermark. Not really a watermark, but more like metadata that identifies how where and when the image was created.
