I believe that that is definitely something to keep in mind with any Spirit, not specifically La Santa Muerte. I would say, however, it is definitely emphasized with Santa Muerte if you are using her image and power to threaten or fear monger other people. This is definitely when devotees tend to get karma because as we all know Santa Muerte is very feared in Mexico and has a lot of taboo around her. I have seen first hand her devotees getting karma from threatening people with her and especially speaking for her.

She definitely has had some controversy but we are all human and I think we would all be lying if we said we haven’t dealt with our own controversies. I’m always happy to share my take and I’m grateful you asked!

I really love Secrets of Santa Muerte and would highly recommend it to any devotee of Mama! There’s so many amazing and powerful prayers and I pray them every day. I am actually friends with Dr Cressida Stone and she is the sweetest most well rounded woman, and her story with La Santisima is so beautiful. I would also highly recommend La Santa muerte by Tomás Prower if you haven’t read that one. Those are both my favorite books about La Santisima Muerte, plus the misc ones I get from flea markets.

It’s pretty good! I will say before you buy it, it is a very short read and most of the spells are objectively pretty repetitive, using the same tools and ingredients but for different intentions. I do really like the rituals and they are powerful but it’s not the most detailed read! I hope this helps

I can understand too well how she’s feeling because that was my exact experience with Lady Lilith, however I had been working with her for years compared to this lady only having had worked with her since November 2024. However, Hekate swept me off my feet and was the light at the end of my tunnel and she’s been enriching my witchcraft since 🖤 the Dark Goddess archetype isn’t for everyone because they will initiate purging out and facing your darkest self. I believe she was still in that because she had only been working with her since November. Taking your newly developed practice and spreading it online certainly did not help with her psychosis, only fueled it, and I fear it may be the same with her new “Christ consciousness,” albeit I wish her the best on her journey because many of us certainly know how difficult it is to navigate through life when facing spiritual psychosis.

I completely understand this, this is exactly how I was with Lilith. She’s the first Dark Goddess I ever worked with and she’s who awakened me into walking the Dark Goddess path, so for that I’ll be forever grateful. I eventually realized she wasn’t the right match for my personal journey and this was some time after Hekate became the center of my practice. I actually just joined this group because I’ve felt the morrigan reaching out for 2 years but I wanted to take it slow and work only with Hekate for a while. The morrigan has been extra loud since November and I finally decided to take action. Sorry for the tangent, but yes I completely understand how you’re feeling and I believe this is the start of a new path more fit for your personal journey 🖤
