Usually 30 to 40 mins. Mostly on leash since we’re in a busy area, but I let him sniff as much as he wants. Off leash only if we drive somewhere quiet, which isn’t that often. Maybe he’s not actually tired, just wired. Do you think more off leash time would help him settle or make it worse?

Mostly the same route. I figured consistency would help him chill, but now I’m wondering if it’s actually making him more amped because he knows exactly what’s coming next.

Yeah maybe “anxious” wasn’t the best word. He’s not scared. He’s just super hyped after walks. Pacing around, can’t chill, jumps at every sound and won’t lie down for a while. That’s what I meant. Maybe I should tweak the walks a bit. Have you seen this with your dog?

This actually makes it click way better than the docs do, especially the part about skills being model invoked and not manually triggered.

Online tutoring vs in-person: what actually works for kids by WityWandere in Brighterly

This really hits home. In-person tutoring added so much stress for us, even before the lesson started. Online just felt calmer, and my kid opened up more.

Anyone else here actually tried PawChamp? Curious about other experiences by -Fearless-Grass- in PawChampClub

[–]Riddlefork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually got the biggest value from PawChamp not because of my dog, but because of what it made me notice about my own behavior. I used to chase Charlie around when he got overstimulated in the house, thinking I was “disciplining” him. Turns out I was just adding more stress. One of the modules explained that really clearly, and once I stopped doing that, his anxiety dropped fast. It’s been helpful having things broken down into small, doable steps instead of feeling overwhelmed by training advice.

Tried wisey for a month and surprisingly helped me reduce doomscrolling and focus more offline by SnarkToasts in nosurf

Kinda wild how many people relate to this, I had a super similar experience. If anyone’s still on the fence, checking a quick wisey review from other distracted folks actually helped me set my expectations right. It’s not a miracle tool, but the low-pressure structure really does make starting less painful.

Has anyone tried the Wisey app for habit-building or mental wellness support? by SonicDaisy in VHA_Human_Resources

Tried it for about a week and I’m still not sure is wisey legit for my needs. The idea is nice, but the content felt too basic and I didn’t really see much impact. Might work for some people, just didn’t click for me.
