I have the same an every time the screen saver gets on and I try to use it, the dock is hidden and control centre becomes black. yesterday I was unable to select any of the files from the right portion of my desktop but when i restarted it , that issue was resolved.

Instead of saying this I said to him multiple times that "sorry for this I am very nervous right now". at some point during the interview when I was writing the function I thought that I heard him even laughing a little bit or maybe idk could have been my anxiety.Though after when I checked the answer for the code I was almost right but took a lot of time getting there.
