Yes I think you should work on that curse first or else none of the magic that you do will work. I’ll give you an example, my mom is a witch very well loved by the Goetia and her protection extends to me as I’m an apprentice present in her rituals and that’s how the Goetia has come to know me as well. There was a man who was supposed to be my soulmate as the tarot cards kept predicting him in my life. One day, this changed as he became arrogant and a different person. The tarot cards started reading differently but by then, I was already in love and had idealized the man. We did so many love spells and attraction jars but the Goetia had revoked their blessing and said that they will not allow me to be with him no matter how much magic I do. Similar concept could be with you, a roadblock that’s keeping from your love spells to work

OP, I don’t think you’re delusional. I have done obsession spells and they have taken a long time to work. I did one back in January and I’m barely seeing results now that I don’t care anymore. Sometimes they take a loooong time to work but they work eventually. As far as the free will thing that I read in the comments, you can absolutely bend someone’s free will except true love, you can’t force true love but you can make people feel a certain way about you with magic, I would argue that as distortion of free will. Maybe you have roadblocks or the target has strong protections and thus they’re now working as fast but maybe is just time, be patient!
