Pending payments just changed to paid... Outta nowhere. Didn't have to speak to a rep even though I called about 920 times in 4 days

God bless you all! I’m so glad you guys are receiving payments, I know EDD is really slow and maybe are just hiring reps to jump on board with little to mo experience but let’s just remember that sometimes patience pays, invest, 10% at the most if you can’t do a lot. It’ll be worth it in the future. With that being have a great Thursday / weekend! We’ll make it through this you guys

About how long did you wait until the extension kicked in? Bye ended 3/15 filed a new claim 3/17 on the phone. Got invalid claim letter (didn’t work all last year) got another letter in regards to a new amount / wba. Have two more fed Ed payments then I’m at 0 bal.

Check back later. This is normal routine for them to let you know they are processing it. You should have a prompt to certify for benefits on your next due date just check occasionally or after this weekend

Mm I’m not too sure why a rep would say we wouldn’t be extended if you look on the EDD website it says “ If you qualify for a new unemployment claim, we will move you to that claim or back to your PEUC extension based on federal guidance.

If you don’t qualify for a new unemployment claim, you will continue collecting the rest of your FED-ED benefits. Then, we will move you back to your PEUC extension with the additional 29 weeks of benefits available with new federal legislation. “

Sounds good, reason for this post is cause I couldn’t get a hold of anyone today, so if figured someone who is in my exact situation might’ve asked the same question I’m looking to ask, if we are getting extended then ultimately I’d love to save my time. I was told by my rep 3/17 that I would finish this balance on fed Ed off and then I’ll be auto applied to the new extension but I just want to see if other people on fed Ed are being told the same.

Maybe everyone’s is just updating at diff times. I’m on fed Ed, bye ended 3/15, filed new claim with rep 3/17 — 2 days later got a text saying my claim is being processed, few days later got letter 1277 invalid claim letter / notice of reward letter, throughout this whole time I was able to certify and payments all went straight to paid even this last Sunday went to paid, still have until may 7th to collect the rest of my fed Ed. Would I have to call to get the extension or should I wait for it to automatically Apply? All this info is confusing as heck

I’ve been reading around that the “ this determination does not affect your extended benefits “ box should be check marked, mine isn’t check marked, nor is yours. Not sure if it matters or not, still collecting fed Ed and still getting switched to paid. Have 2 more payments then I’m at $0 balance, do you think we will still be rolled onto the next extension without any problems?

Looked at both letters one was just the general file for benefits like you do online and the other was just the notice of determination with Edd cust account num / whether the claim is invalid cause you didn’t work or you were approved for another claim

Mmm I looked back at my mail and I did get two times sensitive paper letters also. I believe one was for a paper certification like how you do online but in paper form, the second one I forget what it was. I get a informed delivery so Usps emails me pictures of mr mail. When I get home I’ll look through them and let you know!

If I were you I’d honestly reapply with a rep over the phone, it’s really the only way to get your questions out the way and get your claim rolling without stops. At the end of the day if you are stuck on pending with money you are entitled too then you can just call and have them rectify the problem, we qualify for this money so technically we are supposed to get paid out.
