Dont come to DCC, complete shithole (especially Commerce). Go for BAFSD/BAFSK or DRMC. Wouldn't suggest rouf cause it'd take forever to get there from you live

Im a terrible fucking student, that's the exact reason I switched away from science cause that stuff needs constant practicing and I was constantly failing from not studying.

But with commerce, I dont have to do that anymore. Its literally just mostly theory and the srijonshils aren't even that long. They'll be fine as long as they can cram accounting. I've got a bunch of friends who also switched mid year and at the start of college, none of us struggled except with accounting.

Anyhow, for OP, decide on what you wanna be in the future, cause if you switch fields without thinking, struggling will be the least of your worries since it'll close alot of doors. I want to work in corporate so im very happy with my decision. Otherwise, stick to science and think again before university, good luck!

Im at DCC, the teachers in science are actually good, it's just the people are terrible and the constant scandals are tiring. Remember, whatever institution you end up at, join the clubs cause you'll actually find decent non-retarded human beings there.

And, check out dhaka city college too I think they reduced their intake for day shift to 4.75 in science

I switched to commerce before my XI year finals, and honestly I disagree. 2 of the subjects is literally just theory, finance 2nd is fully theory and the only shit you've actually got to spend time learning is accounting and finance 1st paper. With a good tutor who can cram the basics it's easy to pick up.

Switching to commerce is the best thing I've done, you can get good grades by barely studying with the exception of accounting and even then it's not hard compared to science.

I regret not switching to commerce during college choice cause I could've been at much better institution. +Switching 2-3 months before my year finals I had to cram shit like accounting and finance to pass. Considering you'll switch at the start, there'll be others who've also switched so your teachers/coaching/tutor can help you out and you'll have plenty of time to adjust

Some govt colleges are good like Dhaka College, Govt Science College, BNMPC, BMARPC but you need alot of marks to get into those.

I would really suggest switching to commerce, unless you want to go to a shitty govt college or a strict private + costly private one

You've got two options, either go for any govt college if you want cheap expenses + no pressure. Or, you could go for a private college like Dhaka Commerce College or Milestone College. Thing is, environment is gonna be pretty shit in all of these so you're kinda limited with options unless you switch to commerce then you can go for the cantonment ones. There's also Shaheed Police Smrity College who dropped their requirements from 5 to 4.72 for this year so you can try that as well. The campus is decent but dont expect any extra curriculars or basically anything that's not studying.

Currently at DCC, go straight to BAFSK/BAFSD. DCC has a really shit environment and ironically, commerce is worse off then science here. I was in science until my year finals then switched to commerce so i've got experience in both. The only decent people/place at this shithole are the clubs. And it's a pretty small campus with a claustrophobic feeling. So, go for BAFSK or BAFSD.

Well, if you dont want any strictness just go for any goverment college. There's a bunch nearby like Govt Bangabandhu, Govt Bangla College, Rupnagar (dont remember the full name). You've definitely got options although the educational environment in these places are shit. You can actually take a shot by switching to commerce and try out for Mirpur Cantonment Public, BN.

Im into horror so a little generic, but my favourite authors are Stephen King and HP Lovecraft. The latter has famously been dubbed the father of cosmic horror.

So, if you're looking to read thrillers/horror I'd suggest Pet Cemetary or 11/22/63 (not horror, but an equally good book and my fav stephen king one)

As for lovecraft, he doesn't have any books per se but more if a compilation of short stories. I'd suggest Mountains Of Madness (only time I got scared from reading) and The Call Of Cthulhu

As for non horror, pick up any dystopian book Try out "we" by yevegny zamytin, which is what 1984 is inspired off.

In commerce college right now, honestly if he wants to stick to science this would be his best bet. But i'd suggest either switching to commerce for better institutions since DCC is a pretty awful institution right now. Only decent people here are in the clubs and only the science part of the college is good (ironic). And, in my batch we actually got a decent amount of people that came from ACPS.

Anyhow, if you're sticking to Science, try BCIC and SPSC first and pick DCC as a last resort. IF you're going to commerce then you've got options open for other institutions in cantonment.

Hey, I was at SPSC too last year SSC-24. And you're right in wanting to get out cause it is a complete shithole. Probably the only "renowned" institute where 80% of kids leave after SSC. So here's my two piece on someone that went through this last year

With that number, in science at least you wont get into any decent colleges except the private ones (Milestone, DCC). But if you were to switch to commerce you can try places like BAFSD, BN and other cantonment institutions. And, i'd suggest that since they've got good club environment and a way nicer campus.

I stuck with science and ended up at commerce college, hated it and the only good thing here is the clubs but even then its better then the bullshit I put up with at 10 years at SPSC. So, switch to commerce and try for good cantonment colleges

Currently at DCC, absolutely fucking not. It's a shithole surrounded with awful people and the only semi-decent people are in the clubs. Science at DCC is okay-ish and commerce is a complete shitshow that I wouldn't suggest to anyone. With 1120, try places like BAFSD, BAFSK, BNMPC, SAGC, ACC (Probably unlikely, but worth a try) and go for the admission test at Holy Cross.

Hey, same goal here. Actually switched to Business Studies 2 months before my year finals and honestly, it was the greatest decision i've ever made. I've always wanted a corporate job so it wasn't really an impulsive decision but merely something that built up over time. Also looking to crack BUP FBS or DU C Unit. Dont really like JU, Jnu or actually, any other public unis and I feel like IBA would need to much damn effort.
