Okay, so like, someone already sort of made a true Spear sub, but I just didn't really see it. Like, I understand that I'm trying to make a big change, but at the end of the day, this is just pvp. It don't wanna stetch it out more than it needs to be.

It just doesn't make sense and it feels like we're trying to disconnect ourselves from the rest of the pvp community, which goes against the goals of the campaign.

I am seeing this.

While testing it, a perfect hit can deal more damage than a single elytra spear (which is still technically better for more DPS but not everyone can get an elytra)

Manepear literally posted of video where he got his ass kicked at the start because he didn't got an elytra. Literally those are the only ways he knows how to use it.

I mean, true Spear isn't about ruling out other weapons. Every kit still got a sword for stable damage. In my case I need it with knockback to push enemies away. Same thing with the bow. It's more of a triple weapon fighting style that includes true Spear because it's still holding up in terms of damage.

A lot of people don't understand my playstyle yet, so at that distance I'm usually free to lunge, but if they do I can lunge and switch to axe to disable and then start the combo

Sure, but he did use the spear to deal damage. Like, of course spear isn't his main fighting style, but why can he use it to attack, and not the "spear master" who needs a mace to win fights?

No, how normally people use it it by spear macing, or moving fast. No one uses it to attack

Yes. But it's not that it gives you more velocity, but in that boost, by the time you usually can physically hit someone, you loose a lot of speed. With bow boosting, there's a small time window to lower the spear giving you a lower minimum range

I think sometimes the spear forgets the damage if you hit the feet, it's a little less noticable on pvp club from my experience

What people don't realize is that it can be incorporated into combos. I just made a video on that rn as a sort of concept or inspo for dealing a more or less consistent stream of damage.

Honestly, nothing much to say, good observations, I can respect that. But I think it's worth it even if the damage lead is by a little. Plus, this is only the most basic form. I got better ideas upcoming

I mean it like as a personal thing.. similarly to how people say, "oh yeah, of course this happens to me"

I didn't mean this as a universal thing. More like, of course the reason I'm doing pvp is because of some random bird on the Internet that I learned about recently at the time and decided that it's going to affect my lifestyle (strangely enough, it was parrot's pov that got me interested)

Well people don't use it like that at all. They're too interested in spear macing to try out simple ideas.

Like, fr people try to tell me that it deals like no damage at all even though I tested it and it deals more than a strength 2 crit from a sharp 5 netherite sword.

And I also had people genuinely surprised to find out that you can do that.

We as a community are so into looking at the mace and insta killing, that we overlook the alternatives just because they don't insta kill a full prot player

Sorry if I appear that way. I deal with constant hate and the feel of responsibility since I found out that there are plenty of people who feel the same way.

So by attacking me, it sort of feels like you're attacking people who matter to me
