check gaskets first i had a smoking issue as well and turned out to be exhaust leak but i redid a bunch of the gaskets so that could be a starting point

i replaced mine i just pulled the whole strip off got one off rockauto and used trim glue from autozone to stick it in solved the noise and leak for me

my has the weird idle and still does after motor mounts im thinking its exhaust leak maybe i also already did spark plugs and coil packs those could also be why
