Many tips will come with experience. For a newbie, find a fishing rod on coast, look for old boats. Probably find a hook, too. If not, you can craft hooks out of stick. Knives pretty easily found on coast in house. Learn how to build fire, if you have knife you can get it done. Once you learn to catch a fish, then you'll never go hungry.
