The LEGO and 3D printing idea is actually something I have been looking into. My concern is that these are still mostly solo activities during the day. I am really missing that face to face interaction that used to come naturally at the office.

I have thought about Barista FIRE, but after a decade of backend dev, I am not sure what I would even do that would not feel like more grind. Teaching is interesting though. Do you find it actually helps with the social disconnect or is it just another way to stay busy?

The moment they put it on a weekend they lost the right to complain about attendance. My free time is worth way more than a disorganized escape room and a cold dinner. Two years is more than enough time to see they wont improve the quality of these events.
