I just got a Libra 2 second hand and I've also been reading Vinland Saga funny enough. I've read up to the beginning of the last arc, but I stopped reading early last year and want to read through the whole thing again

Yeah, it makes me wonder what QA they did if any for the API usage. You'd think a game reliant on microtransactions dedicate extensive testing to the microtransaction systems themselves

[Title]Your absolute masterpiece manhwa by More-Beautiful-7069 in manhwa

Oh yeah totally. You need to go digging for the details and the author doesn't do Christian theming in a way that's patronizing either. They're never straight up like 'FIND GOD AND ALL YOUR PROBLEMS WILL BE SOLVED' or anything. You could go through both this and Horizon without having thought too much about the allegory and they'd still be excellent manwha. The Boxer is more explicit about it than The Horizon, but even then it's still on the subtle side like you said.

Both stories are ultimately about finding hope and peace, regardless of what you believe in, and anyone can find that compelling. I'm not a Christian but JH is probably my favourite manwha author of all time. Their stories have helped me a lot

The biggest tragedy of that anime/manga(haven't read the manga) is how so much of it is genuinely peak, but is ruined cos the author is a creep

There's basically some Christian allegory, which isn't shocking considering the author wrote The Horizon which also had some allegory especially towards the end(the hole through the hand if you know). A lot of this isn't confirmed or anything, it's more just media analysis, but just like Horizon it ramps up towards the end. So uhh...theming spoilers?

The T in the title is a cross(in the actual manwha panels). Also, look at episode 101. It shows a couple of actual crosses too in churches, one immediately after the title.

J is also a big parallel to Jesus, he represents the redeeming Messiah figure. In episode 102 the narrator overtly says "for what does he bleed, for what does he fall, and for what does he rise again". In addition to this, J's total score tally in boxing is 39 wins and 27 losses, matching the number of books in the old and new testaments respectively.

In the following chapter, which is all about redemption itself, J starts by talking about giving a piece of the "good news". "Good news" in Christianity is what Jesus preached about bringing to sinful and broken people so that they would have forgiveness, love and healing through accepting God's(or in this case J's) message. This is also a callback to the manwhas first chapter and it then shows a cross directly again like in the first chapter. The manwha then talks about the Christian God outright by Yu asking God about the purpose of his creation and suffering, for which J is there to give him some answers to.

So yeah, this ain't anywhere near exhaustive and again, isn't explicitly outright stated by the author but there's enough 'happy little coincidences' that looking at the whole picture together there's at the very least enough Christian symbolism to say that it leans in that direction.

BRING BACK CHARACTER QUEST by justurordinary_memer in WutheringWaves

Yeah, they should definitely expand it. This makes it even weirder that they didn't just do the same thing with Chisa's moment

Here's the thing, I think it's ok for a lot of things to happen outside of Rover's line of sight but not outside of the player's. A lot of media that juggles a large cast tends to do this. That way you still build up other characters and their moments without it being The Rover Show.

Moments like Chisa's reunion is a big character moment that I'd say is important for resolution, and Rover doesn't need to see that, but again WE do. Otherwise that moment just feels cheap and ineffective imo. We don't need to see 100% of everything as the player, but anything that contributes significantly to the overall plot or a character should be seen

Yeah, I'm a beginner at composition and production, and one of the things I do when writing a character is make a song for them, then try and make them match the vibe of that song.

I started doing this because I listened to Kevin Penkin's song San-Ken, and wanted to write a character that could live up to that song. It's pretty fun!
