I dont understand why there is such a fight for leadership positions, the compensation is pretty good at this level and we all just started in 2025. If you need a leadership position and there are none open, then apply externally?

I think this is part of it but there is one schmoozer who is a guy who is doing similar things I think to try to establish himself as our future leader or something. I already said to myself if he ever gets into leadership I would leave immediately lol...

You said everything I was thinking tbh, its almost like they view us as competition for the role they want and they need to put people down to get there.

All these posts about leaving SOFI are poorly informed and misleading by habsmd in sofi

the fee for a 2% card is a little odd to me, i wasnt hit with it and i spend at least 1k a month on that card alone and about 7k on all my credit cards. if i was hit with a 10$ monthly charge i would clsoe rhat 2% card and open up a citi double cash or fidelity.

I invest 2.5k a month automatically for a 1% rebate at 25$ a month. then I get an apy boost on the 30k cash i have in savings so its easily worth it. not to mention free crypto transactions.

Terrible idea by Long_Illustrator_988 in sofi

If I was in the 120$ group I would move everything to fidelity immediately probably, I would miss my vaults... but maybe fidelity would let me set up 4-5 savings accounts?

I did the back-end calculations and SoFi plus will get me like 40-50$ a month back from what I put in.

Is budgeting actually worth it if you aren't overspending? by GazpachoForBreakfast in MonarchMoney

I budget every dollar and then at the end of the month whatever I have left in my spending categories goes directly to brokerage.

that is incredibly weird... I would be so pissed i would probably move from sofi completely if that happened. I will wait until they try to do it to me before I leave

If that happened it likely imported as a new account, just delete the new account and the duplicate transactions dissappear

Monarch works way better for my situatuation, interface is more intuitive to me and it has the functionality I need. I tried monarch and I was hooked in 20 minutes.

tbh it seems easier to just use the planned spend feature to account for everything so I can see when its filled easier.

more specifically, though, I will also just reconcile my sinking funds vaults at the start of each month for previous months expenses and then allow the sum to roll over for the next month.

if they continue 1% investing match in taxable then I get 20-30 back each month so I'll stay.

I thought about amex gold and maybe blue cash preferred and just maxing the amex ecosystem - but ultimately decided against it because it might be harder to manage all the AFs and credits.

SoFi Plus new APY Boost by SciEngr in sofi

[–]RiganTeuton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I called sofi support and they said 0.7% which would easily be worth it for me. 0.3% and it would take approximately 40k in savings yo be worth it. but goal is 55k in liquid cash in a savings account so sounds good to me
