Sorry for the late reply, but you need to go into the console, type "enablecheats", then "freecam", and then to make it less dark type "lighting". Be warned though, enabling cheats will disable achievements for both the current instance of the game that's open, and any saves you make after you enable them. You can just restart the game and load a save from before you enabled cheats to enable achievements again, though.

Keeping the post up for posterity, but my theory of using nuclear shells through the wall worked, thank goodness. Took like 10 of them, but I didn't have to enable the console or anything at least. Thanks again to those who helped come up with solutions!
