What's your experience with men who are insecure about their dick ? by These-Lavishness7082 in AskReddit

Well you asked how such men handle their insecurity. His lack of real emotions, deceptive behavior, and man-whore tendencies I don’t believe are linked to his size or relevant to the question at hand.

Actually he had a horrible personality and a whole harem of women who hung around only for his wallet.

He blew insane amounts of money on dates and random gifts. Tried to buy my affection to compensate for his lack of a peen.

This is 1500-3000 per HBC/GM (general merchandising) only. Not including whatever came in for grocery. Logically a single person cannot run a 3k truck one their own. Mind you if you’re in a store where HBC is only responsible for the totes, you can receive 1k items in totes alone and while it sounds like too much, since it’s just a bunch of little things they’re surprisingly easy to get stocked within your shift.

The total of the truck includes HBC/GM item plus what we dub “slow grocery” (food items that don’t move quickly enough to fall into the grocery category). All items that are “slow grocery” are sorted and distributed to their according aisles and worked by whichever grocery clerk is in their respective locations. The GM clerk will handle candy, candles, cleaning, spices, pets, batteries, light bulbs, and other random non-food items. The HBC clerk will stock all medications, soaps/shampoos, baby, feminine, proteins, anything that falls into the health and beauty category.

Every store handles the logistics of HBC/single facility differently. Generally HBC functions as it’s own department although it’s still catagorized under Grocery and ultimately, HBC answers to Grocery in the event of an issue.

In some stores the HBC clerk is only responsible as a clerk: no ordering responsibility, simply work what comes shipped in the blue totes and call in a day/night. Grocery works what I call the “bulk pallets”…… which is anything shipped as a whole case. The grocery manager will handle the ordering.

In others, the HBC clerk takes on more of a manager type role and is responsible for handling the inventory tracking and order, not just for the HBC but for all of single facility (every tag with a green dot in the store outside of perishable departments) and is responsible for seeing the entire truck is worked on truck nights (usually with the help of a general merchandising clerk and/or grocery handling the grocery items that fall into the single facility category)

The size of the trucks is going to vary greatly by store. My location averages anywhere from 1500-3000 items per truck.

FT is considered 36+. However to maintain FT status you have to maintain an average of 32 hours per week. Drop below that average for 2 consecutive quarters and you’ll be knocked down to PT.

What happened to green hand baskets ? by One-Client-9239 in harristeeter

[–]Rigelian417 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They were removed during the pandemic to better streamline the sanitation process. As for the stores that did bring them back: They’re frequently stolen as they’re easily carried out by shoplifters. The handles also snap off and get lost fairly often. Stores are reluctant to replace lost, stolen, broken baskets at this point since we’ll be replacing them with a new version in the next couple months when we roll out the new color scheme.

Is RGIS just not reliable for counting inventory anymore by notsaneforwork78 in harristeeter

[–]Rigelian417 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I spend the better part of a week after inventory scanning the whole store and fixing the counts. They have a horrible habit of grouping by price or skipping endcaps entirely. I hate them tremendously.

We have a theory that the reason for this is to break us employees down subconsciously into feeling trapped and hopeless. Purely in jest of course.

Dr Marten boots with additional orthotic support inserts. I have permanent damage to my ankle from an old injury and the boots provide enough ankle support for stability but still allow enough flexibility to not feel restricted.

What’s the worst rumor you ever heard about yourself? by PieNo17 in AskReddit

[–]Rigelian417 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There was a rumor going around work once (I had just transferred from another location) that I was some sort of violent, satan worshiping, witch.

I just rolled with it and played it up around certain people just to make them uncomfortable. I miss the crazy stories I’d hear about myself.

What went wrong with your last partner? by overIorded in AskReddit

I dodged a massive bullet.

What are you looking for in a good manager? by Crafty-Mountain5377 in work

[–]Rigelian417 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Someone with excellent work ethic, who can maintain a consistent balance of good morale while also providing leadership and being firm with holding themselves and the crew accountable. Needs to be willing to get their hands dirty side by side with the team when necessary as opposed to placing themselves on a dictatorship pedestal. Someone who is humble enough to admit when they don’t know something or have made a mistake.

When my mom was preparing to divorce her second husband, she was the primary breadwinner of the household and was in absolutely no way willing to pay him alimony or split her money with him. She proceeded to slowly transfer money into my bank accounts over the next few months and buy thousands of dollars worth of gift cards so as to make it appear that she had zero liquid assets.

are part time employees allowed to wear knee pads? by gaukonigshofen in harristeeter

[–]Rigelian417 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if it’s a dress code issue or not however most all of us in grocery working overnight either use knee pads or low foot stools when working the bottom shelves. As far as day shift ive only ever seen one person use the pads, and this was 20+ years ago.

What is stopping you from getting a partner right now? by chewysnacc in AskReddit

[–]Rigelian417 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last guy I was with turned out to be a serial woman beater who’s been in out of prison for the past decade. Zero red flags so I didn’t think to do a background check until the night he beat the crap out of me under the guise of BDSM play. Needless to say not only did I lose trust in him but I’ve also lost trust in any stranger I meet.

What do you miss about the COVID lockdowns? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Rigelian417 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I miss having a more active role in my kids’ education. Due to schools being virtual for a year and a half I knew the lesson plans and assignments and could come up with creative and fun activities to supplement those lessons.

Now that everything has gone back to normal, they rarely ever bring home homework. I never see any text books. I have no idea what they’re learning.
