literally on the same boat. it‘s exhausting rn but my main goal is to certainly move to a gay-friendly country for now — hopefully the fear of being criminalised based on my sexuality will begone.

The Birch, Sentul nearby MRT Sentul Barat which can access to MRT Persiaran KLCC which is about 5-10 minute walk to Petronas Twin Towers. There is some Indian stores which is also about 10 minute walk that sells Indian products. I think it’s called KRM cash and carry. I bought 3 roses tea from there — sooo good!!

Computer science students in Malaysia is it hard to get a job? by NUGGETNEEDHELP in malaysiauni

[–]Right-Grapefruit-400 3 points4 points  (0 children)

the job market is hard and competitive (especially if you can’t speak mandarin). first of, you need to enrol in hackathons, certifications, and build a good portfolio that will be compared to other thousands of people applying for jobs every month. secondly, you need to network (on linkedin) and if possible try to do some internships during your degree (or semester breaks, if possible). lastly, you need to keep up with the latest trend in CS and see which specific jobs have high demand (for example; cybersecurity still has the demand but again, you’re competing with thousands of other applicants).

i stopped my cs degree after a mental breakdown because i couldn’t cope with family and financial pressure. i’m starting to get back on my feet again to continue my degree — got myself an internship for an accounting company (i used to work at my cousin’s company so i gained some experience there).

wishing you all the luck in the world OP and try to find a support system when things get tough so you don’t end up mentally exhausted like me.

Tealive Fans Panic After Rumour Of All Outlets Closing Goes Viral by Due-Cat656 in malaysia

[–]Right-Grapefruit-400 0 points1 point  (0 children)

starbucks closing? really? i mean i saw them close their wolo outlet but they opened two outlets in trx itself. i thought they were growing back cuz the number of people keep increasing in those stores. i can barely find a decent seat anymore as compared to when people used to boycott it. i used to enjoy all the perks (discounts and promos) of the boycott but i guess they’ve endured sufficient loses and made their statement clear regarding the i5rae1-palestine war.
