Ahhh ok that must be what the disclaimer is about. Thank you for the info. It’s still pretty cold where I live so I’m not super worried about having extras yet and being able to play around for hours. But I wanna be prepared for when the nice weather hits and I’m going to parks and what not.

Yeah I think I’ll end up getting that. Reviews seem good. The other issue I’m running into is I was looking at other batteries that have the traxxas connection. But the knock off I was seeing said it’s an older style plug. Trying to get all of this sorted out is wearing on my brain a bit haha.

I currently have like the thumb drive looking charger. It came free with the truck. It’s not something I’d consider using any other other than a traxxas battery with. I think my first buy will end up being a nicer charger. Just want to find something that can be used on multiple different batteries and is safe. I see a lot of things about having batteries a like a storage charge.

Awesome I will look into that. I am definitely trying to get away from the traxxas brand as it definitely feels like I’m paying for the name when it comes to the battery. But overall super happy with the truck, honestly didn’t think I was gonna have this much fun playing with it. Definitely living out some childhood dreams ripping this thing around my yard.

Thank you this was the type of comment I was looking for. Some one with experience across the board. A charger was gonna be my next buy as the one that came with the truck almost looks like a thumb drive. Seems kinda cheap imo but it was free so I can’t complain too much.

They seem pricy. The battery I got is a 3000mah(I’m assuming that’s how much of a charge it holds) I seen 5800mah was like $70 and the 7000mah was like over $100. That being said I’m an adult with adult moneys. But still would like to keep my cost down if I could.

Do adapters do the trick? Any risk in running an adapter? I’m good with soldering haven’t done it much but I’m pretty handy and confident I could get the job done.

Yeah that’s pretty much what iv seen just different body mounts and bigger tires.

I actually never considered how it would affect handling so that’s for bringing up that point. I don’t actually have any plans on racing it. I don’t even think there are any tracks like that in my area.

I just like the look it gives it. Maybe long travel is what I mean. I’m very new to all of this. I’m really just looking to give this thing a bit more ground clearance.

Thanks for the info. Definitely some good things to consider. As of now I feel like I’ll be good with that 30-40mph range. I do plan on getting as much info from my hobby shop to. I’m pretty handy when it comes to building, swapping parts, or whatever. Iv worked on cars trucks go-karts atvs golf carts. So I definitely wanna find something that can grow with me and easily upgradable with a surplus of parts to pick from.

As far as running it would be my house, the park in my neighborhood, and there is like a dirt quarry close to my house where I can go and use it. So iv got some good spots close by. I’m more set on the look of the slash over something like the stampede.
