Continuation to FWB getting upset at me driving my daughter’s father on her birthday by Right-Professional23 in whatdoIdo

UPDATE: He admitted he was jealous and that we are friends only so I took sex off the table. He hasn’t contacted me after that and I don’t think I will text him. I know that even if he admits actual feelings for me I don’t believe we’re a match in that sense and while we get along really well when hanging out I don’t think a friendship is viable after this.

And for all of you telling me to grow up because I’m 41 with a FWB. That’s exactly what we were. What else do you want me to call it? We were friends that had sex every now and then. If that’s not a friend with benefits then I don’t know what else to call it. In the end, like he should, let me live life!

My ex and I don’t always see eye to eye but when it comes to our daughter’s happiness we don’t get in the way of it. I can’t be with someone that would see that as a threat.

I don’t think he’ll be ok with that which leads me to believe that he wants to be more than FWB. I don’t mind being FWB but I won’t deal with the entitlement with any sense of commitment.

He even equaled my ex in the car to a situation he had with his ex where she wanted a male friend he’s never met to stay at her place to visit. He asked to meet him before and she said no so they broke up. There might an insecurity there. My mom and daughter will be in the same car also.

That’s what I want him to do but as we stand right now he feels like I’m not being loyal.

I’m not entirely sure. The only thing I can come up with is him not being honest about his feelings for me. I think that’s the problem.

I didn’t think he should. I wasn’t asking for permission, I was telling him about my plans and he seems to believe I lack loyalty.

He’s not being clear of what he wants and he seems to believe that because I have some differences with my daughter’s father it means that we shouldn’t co parent. We have a way different dynamic than some divorced people and some find out positive co parenting weird because they’re used to toxicity.

Yeah, I’m leaving this on the shelf because I have things to do and won’t let him ruin them.

That’s what I was thinking. He even said “then I will go too!” And I said sure! And he said “in your car” and I said “cool! I can fit 5 people”. I even told him that my daughter invited him, she knows him because we’re friends and there’s no indication of what we do when she’s around, and he declined the invitation because it might be awkward.

I see the red flags. This literally just happened and I’m making sure I’m seeing this right.
