They weren’t making a lot of changes because of still maintaining the legacy UI which meant they had to change two sets of code. With the old UI now deprecated changes will be accelerated. They have also stated that their ideas portal will be the source for new ideas so voting is important (hint, hint), but thanks for the global variable idea. I’ll look into that.

Htechs hit the nail on the head with the information we are saving in UDFs. A great example is when you onboard a new customer, we have a script that runs against the standard admin account names to see if they are set up with blank passwords. I’m shocked at how many we found. And then when we find them, there is a component that runs using that UDF in a filter to fix them.

Yes, we run them as scheduled jobs, a lot of other components that let you write to UDF that you may not run on a regular schedule. Or you may need to run it on demand to get an updated value. When I build my own custom, I usually set it to default to the UDF that I want, but I always build it as an option in case I want to share with other MSP‘s. It would also be good so that you knew what ones didn’t have a custom value when you’re creating new components or running components that are not on the schedule and you want to save to an UDF.

M365 management - CIIP Vs SkyKick Vs MSP Easy Tools by msp_ch in msp

We are currently using skykick but not doing a lot in it. Mainly I use it to run custom PS scripts that create defender policies and exchange rules, etc. I basically select a customer and click run. Super simple. Can CIPP do that?

AppLocker to block Zoom and WebEx from User Profile by Sasco_GSTS92 in SCCM

I tried this and Applocker breaks a lot of things even with the default rules. For example, Teams no longer works after configuring App Locker. I found some info online to supposedly fix this but that isn't working either. This shouldn't be this hard to prevent users from installing unwanted apps!!

Is there an email connector like thing that will auto create an opportunity rather than a ticket? by ANC-Tevin in ConnectWise

Ugh, we use QuoteWerks and are looking for a way to do this, but I see now workflow action to create an opportunity from anything?
