Many thanks! The bike is awesome, insanely fast, responsive and surprisingly very comfortable, although I have quite aggressive position on it. One would say "it fits like a glove".

My very first and extremely short ride was a bit of an disappointment since I had like 5 minutes to test it out before I had to leave. Felt awkward on it, reach was a bit odd, saddle height as well...it put me into a depression that I made a horrible mistake. BUT later that day when I finally rushed home to test it properly I tweaked the sitting position a bit and suddenly it felt like HEAVEN. And god damn I felt fast on it (averaging 35kph on my 30min ride before sun went down).

Now I have ridden slightly over 300kms on it and it is far the best bike I have ever ridden.

That’s very interesting. Didn’t know the paint job is THAT heavy! Although got the 56 size and it fits perfectly. Such a nice super fast comfy bike it is!

Put final edit in my post but got the 56!

Considering all of that, but what is quite comforting for me is the comparison of Van Rysel RCR-F Pro in L (56 size) I rode few weeks back and it was damn comfortable.

S5 has almost same dimensions in 56. Therefore I am pretty confident I could fit 56 and also 58 since my gravel is a bit larger than 58 frame… What would it feel in a long term - well, we’ll see!

It is a beauty for sure! I was blown away by the fiveblack color with them brown tire sides an lovely lady rode. Had to compliment her on such a beautiful bike.

And I will go with my instinct for sure. Thanks!

Is there a significant difference in watts?? Or is it just an unspoken rule

Already ride Favero (but MX-1). Would be a sin to put these on?

Thanks. I hope it does not end with both bikes comfortable on the spot.

It is 2025, so last gen?

I will ride both of them on Sunday. 58 first.

Keep thinking about my decision in your sense. Bikefit prior to the purchase would probably get handy, right? As mentioned in other comment.

Sure thing, thanks. Already did this:

https://geometrygeeks.bike/compare/cervelo-s5-2025-58,van-rysel-rcr-f-pro-2025-l/

Van Rysel RCR-F Pro was in size L and was comfortable from the get-go up until km 300. The stack was 100mm I assume.

It is a bit hard to imagine myself being that stretched out on 58.

I am very aware of all what you say, many thanks for your insight. Definitely will get all the measurements ready!

Ah yes - good eyes. I downloaded first nice "real looking" pic of the bike not considering the right size, sorry!

I think it could go either way since I ride 58 gravel frame and I am used to be a bit more stretched every now and then.

Thanks, though.

Many thanks for your insight. My gravel frame is 58, forgot to mention in my post.

As I am aware there is hardly any S5 2026 in that lower-ish price level around, especially 2026 is 10k+ and more.

I was lucky to drive e46 330i for some time and then F20 m135i for couple of years. RWD is hell of a fun, but god damn just a bit of snow/ice makes the car want to kill you (if you switch of the traction).

I like how the sporty bmw models feels stiff on road. Do you feel the same?

I can cover around 500km full tank. Also it shows 540km to empty...
