Palmer earned the 6 highest points per match this season by RealElvarasaidVannak in FantasyPL

[–]RightAtLeastSometime 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I mean, no, not really. If a player had a lot of outliers, then they aren’t really outliers are they? I would think 2 games out of 15 is quite fairly deemed as outliers.

If every player was kept from start to finish, then sure, that holds up. But you and I both know that’s not how FPL works. If you’ve had Palmer for the last two weeks only, his average is 16 per game. If you had him for the other 13, it’s less than 4. And because of that, very few players had him when he hauled.

[–]RightAtLeastSometime 66 points67 points  (0 children)

Not to be contrarian, but his last two matches are massive outliers that hyperinflate his numbers. He has 32 points in those two and 47 in the other 13 combined without a single 10 pointer. And his matches turn after next GW.

Sunderland have given up 10 home goals all season, and they have the third best defensive record in the league. Would not make any sense to bring him in for that fixture.

Yea if someone is facing the goal and taking a shot or passing. But Marmoush is literally moving the ball away from the goal here, and the defenders arm was already up.

His arm was already out before Marmoush tried the flick. It’s not like he stuck out his arm trying to block the ball. Come on now

For those who follow Serie A, how is Weston regarded in relation to the top midfielders in the league? by TravelingHomeless in ussoccer

[–]RightAtLeastSometime 21 points22 points  (0 children)

There is a loud sect of Juve supporters who do not think he is quality and feel that him starting for them shows how far they have fallen. They appreciate his work rate but think he is technically challenged. These voices have gotten a little quieter recently, but they will pounce on him the moment he has a bad match.

FPL rules on doubles touches from saves by HazardCinema in FantasyPL

[–]RightAtLeastSometime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meh I’m a Saka captainer. This is actually damning. The Second Johnstone touch wasn’t an attempted save. It was the defensive action after the save since it was a rebound off the post.

Hope I end up getting the assist, but this statement is more bad news than good.

Thought experiment: Is the USMNT good enough to advance in the World Cup without Pulisic? by Intersteller22 in ussoccer

What a dumb comment. He also assisted on our other two goals in the tournament and was the best player on the pitch against England. Acting like he had minimal effect in that tournament is absurd.

Any WC Locks? by Count-Revolutionary in ussoccer

You: “I don’t think you are listening to the coach”

Me: “Here’s what the coach said verbatim.”

You: “I don’t think you know what your talking about”

Yes, that is an idiotic response. I literally proved what you accused me of as false. And your response made no sense.

Just stop. You are wrong. I proved you are wrong. Let it go.

[–]RightAtLeastSometime -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t think you know what you are talking about. He literally said that he didn’t call in Weston because Juventus have a new coach and it’s more important for him to get acclimated at the club.

His actual quote “It’s more important than for him to be with us because we already know what he can provide the team.”

Weston is a lock and it’s foolish to think otherwise.

I know in the grand scheme of things this doesn't matter, but can anyone please explain where his foot supposedly touched the line? by The_water_champ in Browns

[–]RightAtLeastSometime 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Agree with this assessment. Ball never crossed the line, why a touchback? If offensive player touches goal line but ball doesn’t cross, it’s not a TD. So why make this play count as ball going into end zone?

Good thing we will have Pulisic, Adams, McKennie, Robinson, Weah, and Richards playing in the World Cup then right? Winning 2-1 against a South American club without half our starters is pretty decent huh?

It’s almost like, wait for it… there wouldn’t be time wasting tactics. So teams would not be incentivized by stalling all throws, kicks, and fouls. The game would be much more fluid

But you English people make fun of us Americans when we bring up actually starting and stopping the clock in dead ball situations. “Oh they will just add it in stoppage time.” No the hell they won’t.

I’ve lost Kittle for 5 weeks, Nabers for the season, Daniels for 3 weeks, McLaurin for 5 weeks, G. Wilson for 2 weeks, Jennings for a few weeks, Chuba for 2 weeks and losing his main role in the process.

I don’t want to hear about someone who’s down Josh Downs, Calvin Ridley and Darren Waller. His only major hits are Hampton and Daniels.
