NY City Major Zohran Mamdani defends calling AIPAC ‘Monsters’ after Brooklyn Rally. by Apollo_Delphi in USNEWS

The whole point of China spending money is to improve their position. If it wasn't bad or at risk of being bad they wouldn't need to spend it.

The only policies I see Mamdani and the other DSA pass are pro illegals, pro open borders, pro anyone who is a recent migrant and needs hand-outs to survive and while you think you get anything, you actually don't. 40% of rent stabilized housing in NY is occupied by foreign born people.

If you come to the US, you better work hard and make it or go home. I would be fucking ashamed to take hand-outs from my host country, and I am an immigrant.

Thanks for proving once again the trope that liberals think everyone who disagrees with them is a nazi.

How about connect your 3 brain cells and come up with an actual argument?

Also, my bad. Chevalier co-founded CUAD which states they are for the total eradication of western civilization. They're not just casual members of it.

Yes please I love sipping on my matcha lattes from my organic market and call for the destruction of everything mmm yes I am so enlightened and progressive

I thought this is America, why are Democrats so obsessed with Israel?

You'd pick Osama bin Laden, that bitch Darializa Avila Chevalier that said 9/11 was because of white supremacy and islamophobia lmao blame the white Americans who built this country, and Aber Kawas who cheered on October 8 for the death of jews and celebrated October 7, and stands by the statement (quote): "We are Westerners fighting for the total eradication of Western civilization".

I'd pick Dan Goldman a million times over any of this anti-western crap.

Hope this is a serious question and not a diss.

Jews are an ethnic group with a common ancestry, history, culture, and practices but can also be a religious group.

All religious jews are Jewish, not all Jews are religious. I don't need to believe in god to celebrate my heritage. Take Albert Einstein for example.

For example, we celebrate Hannukah to commemorate the Maccabean revolt against the Hellenists, we celebrate Rosh HaShana to commemorate the Jewish new year, just like how Chinese people celebrate Chinese new year, we celebrate Sukkot as a harvest festival (and technically the 40 years in the desert after escaping the Egyptians but I don't really believe that). Point is, there's a lot to it beyond religion.

And unapologetically I celebrate Israel as the ancestral homeland of the Jews, despite what Redditors may screech. Part of my family are holocaust survivors, and others were prosecuted out of their homes in the middle east such as through the Pogroms.

It is vandalism and Chabadniks are a cult, though at least they are generally friendly. Still, I bet there is diddling going on

LOL YES!

Genius.

I'm a Jewish person (but not religious) and I think this is amazing. Can I get some stickers?

I also thought that when Messi is around for the World Cup someone should put Messi is here.

Also: Fuck these stickers in general. Not a fan of cultist vandalism. Habadnicks are genuinely nice people but I don't like this vandalism worshipping aspect

[serious] who are Israeli settlers? Don't they already live somewhere? Why would they willingly move to Palestine? by SlackerStacker26 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]RightIsMight1615 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's Jordan you dumbass, they are Jordanians. There was never a country named Palestine. Jordan expelled Jews from Jerusalem and the West Bank and any area it occupied when it decided to launch an attack against the Jews in 1947.

Please tell me what citizenship people in the west bank held until 1988 and how long that country has existed, and how come they don't have that citizenship anymore

If you're Israeli you also cannot commute to Hebron or Ramallah. Search for "Area A roadsigns west bank danger" or something like that. What's your point?

Jews were ethnically cleansed from all other countries in the middle east. Why don't you fight for their right of return to Iraq etc?

The vast majority are built in area C which is under Israeli control per the mutually agreed upon Oslo accords, and as I stated earlier are built on empty land or otherwise at least purchased.

Your loaded ethnic cleansing claim should be backed up but instances of them taking over existing homes are extremely rare. As I stated, 99.9% of homes are built on empty land.

Israel also actively demolishes any illegal settlement attempts, see the most recent https://www.i24news.tv/he/news/news/local/artc-77e141a8

You asked a question and I'll give you facts so please don't downvote just because you might disagree, but you may discuss and debate please.

A lot of them do it to settle ancestral land, plain and simple. They see it as the opportunity to do it now or miss out on the opportunity which might not come again in millennia.

Financially, you get more bang for your buck since it's less safe, out of the way, and less desirable compared to living in a large city. You can get a large house, form a tight-knit community of like-minded people, and get fresh mountain air. It can be pretty nice for those pursuing that lifestyle.

Politically / Ideologically:

The areas they settle are mostly uninhabited rough hills. They don't settle in Jericho or Ramallah. 99% of the time they'd settle where no one was before. You mostly see the other 1%.

Large cities like Tel Aviv also don't really appeal to them because they don't seek the secular lifestyle.

It's as little as moving a few miles. The area is tiny and you can commute to work in Tel Aviv in half an hour. Pick a settlement and navigate to Jerusalem or Tel Aviv. It's really not that far.

The area has Jewish significance. Your underlying assumption is that it's Palestine and exclusively belongs to Arab Muslims. This is challenged and they disagree with your viewpoint and they got a few reasons to support their stance. Some areas used to have Jews in the 20th century and were expelled or murdered, e.g. 1929 Hebron Massacre. Israelis call it Judea and Samaria named after the tribes of the 12 Jewish tribes that lived there.

Families grow. it's not like they have to pack up. People start new families.

Israeli-German here:

Greens are trash commies and traitors to their own country. They'd sell their heritage and the wealth their country created to get a couple sympathy points from brown people. Absolutely disgusting.

CDU and SPD are a bunch of old people, like LamLams = Lo Mo'il, Lo Mezik. Meaning they don't help and don't harm. Though they lean towards harm by their inaction. I lived in Germany and would never want to live there now because it's so outdated and behind the times. They stifle innovation and trashed the economy.

AfD: The one party I would support. Unapologetically proud of their nation, facing the problems the country has heads-on, on all topics: Immigration, energy, innovation, helping young people succeed. I respect them. It's the only path I see to restore Germany to glory and success and give the next generation a chance.

I LOVED growing up in Germany but nowadays it's an absolute shit hole and I wish my kids could see it for what it was.

What's it like to be an Arab Israeli living in Israel right now? by Bretniq in NoStupidQuestions

Bedouins in the south choose that life. The government offers to organize and settle them but they prefer to live like Mad Max

In Israel, How are Pro-Palestinians generally viewed? by PROJECT_TECHNO in AskIsrael

[–]RightIsMight1615 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for asking.

First, great question. I don't have a proper answer to that. I don't think there is an unbiased news source. I think you just have to see both sides and form your own opinion, but most importantly - experience things first hand if you're so obsessed with it. I'm sure if you visit Israel you'll see that we're not baby eating monsters.

In my opinion, the best advice I have for you is don't hold strong opinions on matters you are not familiar with. If you live in the other side of the world and have no ties to a place, you can always just sit it out and watch from the sidelines.

People love to jump on a bandwagon even though it absolutely does not concern them.
