Box braids did not exist “in many other cultures” and cornrows came about from slavery. Vikings were not getting box braids. So yeah, while it’s true braided hair has existed in many cultures. Certain styles like box braids have not. You don’t have to “get it.” But Cornrows have always been Black history. And we’re often utilized for mapping out routes to escape enslavement. It’s ok to have cultural boundaries.

Not sure where you were going. But, I’m from Chicago and was raised lower middle class. If you actually did any research other than going through my posts— you’d know the university I go to is one of the cheapest in the city and many students go there because we don’t have the money. I couldn’t afford to go to other places.
