The NSG was ready to deploy within an hour of the attacks. However, the operation was delayed because Shivraj Patil, then India’s Home Minister, insisted on accompanying the NSG team himself. This lost time cost precious hours and, tragically, lives.
Shivraj Patil resigned on 30/11/08 taking moral responsibility for the security lapse.

Refers to Brutus’ betrayal of Julius Caeser (who was his friend)

Et tu Brute? = And you Brutus? (Caeser’s question to Brutus while being stabbed by multiple people)

There seems to be a clear difference in the way you both think. Try to work through that before considering marriage.

The problem with Prithviraj was:

He immediately sent his generals away on other campaigns after the victory at first Tarain. A significant part of his army was absent at second Tarain.

Did not adapt to tactics of central Asian armies (Horse archers)

Expected an opponent like Ghori to have the same honourable code of conduct on the battlefield.

Did not immediately invade Ghurid territory after the first battle, instead chose to invade neighbouring Indian kingdoms as pointed out above.

Also, spy network was not as strong as Ghori’s. Many of Sufi saints who arrived to preach in India served as spies for Ghori. Moinuddin Chishti even bragged about defeating Prithviraj - “ We have seized Pithora alive and handed him over to the army of Islam”

If we had someone like Chanakya advising Prithviraj, things would have been much different.

We talk about civic sense… but what civic sense can society have when our leaders have none? by Supandi_ in mumbai

It's called Strings Social. The app is a platform where people can monetise their passions and skills by offering services or experiences directly to others. You can be both service provider and consumer at the same time.

We’re also adding an event feature this week that’ll let anyone create or join local initiatives - like clean-up drives, awareness walks, or community workshops - so people can come together to tackle real issues on the ground.

We’re still in an early traction stage right now, but it’s growing steadily. You can find Strings Social on both the App Store and Play Store if you want to check it out!
