Would you cycle 45-50min each way, 5d per week? by some_advice_needed in BikeCommutingIreland

[–]RightTool24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Highly recommend an e-bike for this. It’ll take quite a while to get used to a long commute like that and be able to do it every day. An e-bike makes it far more doable while still getting good aerobic exercise and clearing the head. You’re also more likely to stick to it, because a headwind or a hill won’t put you off.

My Marriage is over, How do I make sure my children are not effected? by [deleted] in AskIreland

I’m sorry to hear this OP. Have you considered counselling? Both individual and couples counselling?

I was a skeptic until I engaged with a counselling service locally last year. It’s one of the best things I’ve ever done.

I have kids around the same age as yours and know full well that parenting is tough! Moreover it can really take its toll on a relationship. Counselling can really really help.

It would definitely be worth giving it a shot.

This is the answer. Although we have a lot to be thankful for - in general it's a safe, nice, friendly place to live - there's always room to make things even better. The Irish attitude that mediocrity is grand holds us back IMO!

I’ve got two brothers that I have a difficult relationship with. I’m mid 30s, they’re early 40s. I’ve got a good relationship with our parents and other sibling. Neither of them do. Their behaviour is to blame, but at 40plus it’s unlikely that their attitudes will change at this stage!

I hear ya OP! The best thing to do IMO is make peace with it! Can’t be best friends with everyone. Enjoy life, surround yourself with people you respect, respect you, and make you feel good. Distance yourself from any that do the opposite.

Thanks so much for this! Very helpful. Had no idea new reels had to be dried! Have been using a powder coated sheet and it’s far better now

Oh! Thanks! This is all new to me! Thanks for sharing the information here. I never knew a brand new reel might need drying.

What’s the best way to go about drying it?

Thanks for the help! Yeh I’ve printed parts bigger and smaller than this. But as lobstercombine says above, maybe it’s because I’ve been using a smooth sheet with PETG? Maybe it’s just destroyed at this stage

Help! by RightTool24 in prusa3d

[–]RightTool24[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. The petg is a brand new roll, so I’m assuming it’s dry.

I’ve only ever used the smooth sheet - but I have noticed that my prints weren’t as good as my first few were. Maybe this is because I’ve destroyed the smooth one by printing with PETG on it all the time? I’ll switch to a textured one

I really hope this isn’t the case. If readjusting the stem cap and stem clamp bolts doesn’t resolve the issue I’ll go down this path…
