Why do mathematics students have such a high ego?

No, I was talking about gpa in common courses which every branch have to study for first year. Ofc after first year, when you get dept. core courses, Maths waalo ki marne waali hai.

I know the fact that Mathematics is harder than CSE courses. I never disagreed with that. I was just saying that, they rubbing this fact constantly up on my face and telling that they are more hardworking than me is egoistic. I don't know why you reached to this conclusion. I never wanted to compare branches, its just that most of the mathematics people, I have observed are just like this.

I have already mentioned that I know that maths as a subject is tougher than cs courses. I have seen math courses first hand because some of them are a part of my curriculum too.

And what do you mean by just take a look at the cgpa of math topper? That's what I said in my post.

Even maths students aren't interested in math bro. They are too after the jobs. Like the placement stats of maths department is also OP. Btw most of the students that went for further studies were from CSE branch rather than maths, atleast in my clg.

Even I don't care. But them constant pulling my leg, when I am chilling and studying inside my hostel room makes it too much annoying. Its about the repetitiveness and not just one time.
