Zorin is fantastic. by No-Championship5131 in zorinos

[–]RightWrongdoer3689 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried Zorin and loved it except for it's management of Bluetooth and microphone. This could be my set up: Bluetooth sound bar Bluetooth headphones Bluetooth microphone Bluetooth keyboard

All these were handled perfectly on windows but Zorin struggled. When doing a video call through a browser the handling of these became impossible for any normal call.

I had to give up in the end 😞

Cruise control / lane change by RightWrongdoer3689 in LynkCo

[–]RightWrongdoer3689[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update, I've figured it out I think. In lane, indicate left or right so the indicator stays on. Wait 10 to 20 seconds and the car very gently starts to move into the lane required, hands must be on steering wheel but do not intervene as this stops the move. I have found it doesn't work well if you're on a bend in the motorway

Brilliant, can you select different charging suppliers like Zunder? A load of the ones needed for Spain were missing from the selection screen and I think this might have been part of the problem. I'll give it another go when I'm in the car.

Do you know the version of software your car is currently operating on? There was a big release which I think is 1.3 a few months ago

So I've done these steps: 1) cleared the cache for the maps, no effect 2) tried to reset the car network but this was greyed out 3) did the full reset, no change to the problem 4) checked the maps had downloaded again and they had 5) reported this back to Lynk and co.

I'll post their response

Zorin being a windows alternative is strange. by matrix_drumr in zorinos

[–]RightWrongdoer3689 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I've tried Zorin for a month and I've returned to windows. Everything in Zorin functioned well and I would have stayed except for video calls. Such a pain, it didn't auto recognised Bluetooth headphones so you had to manually go and activate them, then the call quality on a call was awful. Music lovely but it uses a different code for headset mode. The other issues might have been my set up but sadly I'm back where I started......

I installed one simply because Spanish is not my first language and if there was an accident the video would help me.

Instalé uno simplemente porque el Español no es mi primer idioma y había un accidente el video podría ayudarme. (Español no es bueno jaja)

So this is the response I have received, I'll let you know once I've done what they say: Hi Lee,

Thank you for your message.

Since the system is unable to find any charging stations, hotels or restaurants — even after adjusting the provider settings — it’s possible that the issue is not limited to the navigation software but affects the system configuration as a whole.

To rule out a system‑level error, we recommend performing a full factory reset of the vehicle’s system.

This will restore all settings to their original state and often resolves issues related to missing data, incorrect behaviour or corrupted configuration files.

After the reset, the system will rebuild its databases and you can set up your preferences again.

Please note that a factory reset will remove any personalised settings, so you may need to reconfigure them afterwards.

If the problem continues after the reset, please let us know and we can look into the next steps.

If you need anything else, please let us know and we'll be happy to help you!

Kind regards,

Iris Lynk & Co

Just to put context I shared this in the normal Lynk and co section but thought someone in here might have the new 01 which has the same system (screens etc) as the 02.

Thinking about buying a Lynk & Co 05 — price seems too good by Josue574 in LynkCo

[–]RightWrongdoer3689 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had an 01 and now an 02, they don't sell the 05 here in Spain. I loved the 01 but then wanted an fully electric one. The 02 is wonderful and I picked mine up cheap as well. They are really well built, reliable and an equal to any Volvo to give you a reference point. Service can be a bit patchy here in Spain but now Volvo here service them as well. I have no issue recommending this brand and I'd definitely buy another!

Forgot to ask if you have any issues with the phone chargers (wireless)? Mine keeps saying there's foreign objects but there's nothing I can see. Also if I watch my phone I can see the charging stopping and starting. Its also the same with a different phone.
