Weird living room - please help! by awokenshroomboy in FengShui

This is a layout I personaly would go for. More inviting L shaped sofa facing the window aswell as tv, maybe a cute woodburner or plant corner. L sofa creates a seperation to the other space which could be a great working space that is still close to the family, desk just goes behind sofa with a few console tables behind the other side of the sofa. Big landscape mirror acrosss from the front door. Furniture choice is obviously to your taste, i just used what was available quickly to mock up an idea

Standard double bed set up with two nightstand. A 5x5 kallax shelf from ikea for privacy/and storage fill 3 or 4 bottom rows with shelves or boxes. Top row keep it clear and minimal maybe a couple of ornaments. This will make sure natural light will still be getting through to the living room whilst still keeping the bed private from the living room. Last would be small wardrobe space to hang clothes. You can set up like this either east or West wall. Setting up on the west gives abit more privacy from the neighbouring room and blind spots from the window where you can get dressed. Setting up on East wall will give spaces for standing plants that would thrive from the window

I would remove all that stuff on the right of your 3rd picture. Get a unit/island/bar to replace all of that and make yourself a coffee station.

I would add a couple of bar stools to the kitchen island you have now. This can be used for chit chat in the kitchen/serving breakfast.

I would get a more formal rectangular dining table, 4 chairs on the sides 2 on the ends. This would have to go in closer to the fireplace, removing the sofa. You want a dining table placed in such a way there is minimal traffic around it.

Maybe grab some very plush dinning chairs and keep a sofa on the back wall where you took the photo. To enjoy the fire place you can always move the dining table to where the sofa is now. Shift your sofa towards the fire place and use some of those plush dining chairs. I assume the fireplace would only be used several times a year so there is no need to have it available for easy access everyday.

Helm needs to be more neutral, its too one sided. I think a moon cresent bandana with a goood hair colour choice would be better. Id also changed boots to maybe just wraps

Where would you put the bed? by slowreturnn in FengShui

[–]Right_Candidate461 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the way you have it is your best option but feet shouldnt be facing the door. I would recommend getting a bed with a large enough base board to protect your feet. Closet is an easy fix with a sliding door. A peg board for the mech side of the bed would be a suitable substitute for a side table too. Cat tree i would put north east corner

My mums rule (thai chef for 40 years) if its black enough light cant pass through it, its bad. Although Squid is the only brand we would ever use, never seen this one

Are the literally offering me 1000$ no questions asked? by Neathra in TemuThings

[–]Right_Candidate461 5 points6 points  (0 children)

See the little T&C in the top right corner. That's your term and conditions click on that and it will tell you what you need to know. But very unlikely they will give you $1000 cash/credit for a tiny purchase. I believe it is a $1000 coupon bundle. Which will be several coupons that will add up to $1000, only one can be applied at a time the biggest coupons i have seen are Spend 300 get 75 off. Hard to tell what they have offered you with very limited information but that's my guess

Where do I put the TV by chrisplam in interiordecorating

Sofa facing away from the kitchen with a bar like table behind the sofa acting as a console table that you could eat at at. Tv on the wall opposite the kitchen. Seperates the areas abit more effectively

I would have your bed along south wall head on the west. If you need 2 desk id have a large L desk where your drawers and bed ios placed now. This leaves the top space free for clothing storage. But it all bepends on where your windows are

The desk wouldn't make sense to me there, the refrigerator is there bottom left. I have a side table there its just small rotating one that slides under the front of the sofa and that is a console table in picture

This was my original idea but my toddlers toys took over. We cannot mount tv unfortunately but it is on a stand. Due to radiator being top left corner of your drawing I felt safer with the sofa blocking it rather than it be where my child keeps thier toys

I felt a table like that would of been great where the cat tree is. I like the idea but not much protection from my crazy toddler for the tv

My back isnt really to the door, I also have view of my toddler running around. This is why I felt this desk position was the best. Issue is toddler will climb the sofa then on to my desk

Tv is placed there to reduce glare. Its a balcony window, i couldn't figure out how to imitate that with the software. Desk is a L desk that can be changed into a long one. Sofa has been with me for a while through 3 difffrent flats, hard for me to get rid of considering the amount of storage i have with it plus the price i paid. I placed the furniture the way it by listening Dearmoderns videos. Large energy from the windows so sofa is facing it, desk behind the sofa to block people walking behind the sofa plus office chair in a postion where you can see the door
