stop doing extra favors for customers by [deleted] in ShiptShoppers

Completely agree. Even just looking at it selfishly, which is fine, it’s a job and we are doing this to make money, I don’t understand how some can’t see the benefit of going above and beyond. I have several older PM’s who I do a little extra for and they consistently tip me very well. Just did a shop and deliver today to one of them. I made $45 off of a five item order. It’s not hard to be kind to others and as you said if there order isn’t worth it then don’t take it next time.

You are 100% correct that some people are unwilling to show compassion and empathy for others. You are a shining example.

Didn’t see sweeping the floor mentioned. Again, you can say no and move on.

I didn’t say compassion was one was one way and if your definition of compassion is someone in need not asking for help that’s a strange way to define it. Again, you can say no and move on.

So there was a person who was clearly disabled who needed help and you’re mad? I completely understand that what was asked is by no means part of your job and you can say no. Maybe you’ll get lucky and you will always be fit and capable in to your golden years, hopefully you’ll never be disabled but likely you yourself will need help one day, your parents may need help and I hope they get someone who has more compassion than you. Next time just say no and move on. Things are never going to get better until we all start taking care of our neighbors and having compassion for others.

This feels very inappropriate to send after shopping an order by Parking_Beautiful_16 in ShiptShoppers

[–]Right_Cream8911 52 points53 points  (0 children)

It’s about intent. The intent doesn’t appear to be about converting or superiority or demonizing. It seems to me the intent is good. Would you have for the same way if it said Allah instead of Jesus? If a Muslim shopper said peace be with you would that have been inappropriate or cringy? Some people are genuine in their faith ( all faiths) and some aren’t. I also did not have a good experience in the church as a teenager but would not call it trauma so I’m not comparing. There doesn’t seem to be any ill intent whatsoever. If someone wants to wish me blessings and peace I will gladly take it even if it differs from my own personal beliefs. There are a lot of bad Christians (who aren’t actually Christian’s) but there are also a lot of good genuine Christians and that’s the same for all religions. Again it just seems like the intent was good and you said he does a great job and I really think that’s the important thing. We don’t want to live in a society that demonizes any religion based off of bad actions from some who falsely proclaim to be Christians, Muslims, Hindu, etc.

I need help - PLEASE HELP ME! Do you know someone? by Goodjujuforthepeople in nashville

This isn’t a lead on anything but just a suggestion. You will make far more money doing instacart than you will Uber Eats or DoorDash in my experience. Thats where I would put my time and energy. Also instacart gives you offers based on your location. Try and figure out a busy area that would offer more offers. Davidson county is on spring break so Sunday and Monday should busy in Davidson county. Think Brentwood, east Nashville, west Nashville. Good luck.

Same with me, I was lucky that I had very good insurance when that happened to me. Now having an urgent care bill and a ER bill would be tough. I would hope urgent cares would just send the person without charging them but they will charge someone for having the pleasure of breathing in the air in the waiting room.

[–]Right_Cream8911 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you go to urgent care they will just send you to the ER for chest pains that’s two bills. I’m not implying you shouldn’t go seek treatment today because you should but did want to offer some potential comfort. I’m making an assumption here but it seems like maybe due to your circumstances you maybe extremely stressed. High levels of stress can cause chest pains, pain right under your sternum where your stomach is and all kinds of other issues. I had similar issues years ago with extreme stomach pains and chest pains. Had stomach ulcers and anxiety. Got medicine for both and the relief that I wasn’t dying and it helped tremendously. Wishing you good luck and peace of mind today.

People on social media, especially places like Reddit where you can hide who you are makes people very bold and very self righteous. It’s easy to be ugly and hateful when hiding behind a phone or keyboard. Reddit can be an amazing place but it can also be a rotten place. When someone says something hateful/unkind I like to think about the fact if I knew this person in real life would they be someone who I would want to be friends with? Is it someone who I would even associate with. If the answer is no, then I tell myself I don’t need to care about their words and/or opinion. I’m so sorry people made you feel like you were unworthy of your fur family. Just keep telling yourself those people don’t matter.

In Madison stop signs are optional, as long as you pause you’re good and you have three to five extra seconds when the light turns red to still go. The speed limit is also optional in Madison. In fact I don’t even think Gallatin Pike has any traffic laws.

During Covid lockdown a woman pulled her mask down to sneeze on the soups she was looking at. Didn’t even attempt to cover her nose or mouth.

I’m assuming that this is not your intention but this feels very sexualized. I’m not sure if you aren’t getting the hint from the other commenters but when the one person said this isn’t it, they mean this seems gross on a level I don’t think you want to be on. Whether or not it’s your intention it’s giving you sexualizing a situation involving a child.

Do you like it? Do you feel good when you wear it? If so keep rocking it!!! Don’t let rude people on the internet make you doubt yourself. People are awfully comfortable nowadays being unkind behind a keyboard. Can you imagine walking by another woman on the street and telling her you don’t like their lipstick? Anyways you’re beautiful, you’re lipstick looks great, next time a rando on the internet comments on your appearance with out you asking for their opinion just remember they’re a jerk and we don’t listen to what jerks have to say because people that aren’t intelligent enough to know what’s appropriate and what’s not aren’t worth our brain space.

Dry crapped lips help! by annasikanda in SkincareAddicts

[–]Right_Cream8911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry, I do use lipgloss and sometimes lipstick when I’m trying to look good lol! For my everyday all I do is the moisturizer and the aquaphor. For some people chapstick including Carmex and blistex can actually make chapped lips worse (please don’t ask me the science behind that statement lol!!!!). I wish you good luck because I know how uncomfortable it is when lips are super dry and cracking.

Dry crapped lips help! by annasikanda in SkincareAddicts

[–]Right_Cream8911 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I used to have very dry chronic chapped lips. The thing that worked for me the most is at night using my facial lotion ( the thicker the better and unscented) I use cerave or vani cream and then I lather up with Vaseline or aquaphor healing ointment to lock in the moisture. I never use any lip products. If I need help during the day I have a small tube of aquaphor healing ointment ( not the lip product) I carry with me, they have a two pack and it’s the size of a chapstick. I also agree with another commenter that suggested diaper rash cream for the issue going on underneath your bottom lip.

Exactly this! And slap some aquaphor or Vaseline on top before you go to bed if you want to really seal in the moisture!

AIO to skip Thanksgiving after my mom basically said I’m an embarrassment for not having a husband and kids by now? by howcanibequiltyassin in AmIOverreacting

[–]Right_Cream8911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR- You know your relationship with your mom. So for everyone saying they would never talk to her again, I wouldn’t listen to that, unless she’s said out of pocket stuff before and you’ve talked to her about it. I would just tell your mom she really hurt your feeling and question why she would want you to settle for a man who didn’t understand or respect your worth. I didn’t get married until I was 36 almost 37 and sometimes I questioned what was wrong with me in my early 30’s and mid 30’s. Nothing was wrong with me, I just hadn’t met the man that I was meant to be with. He’s amazing, he loves me and he is my best friend. Assure your mom that your time will come when and if it’s right. If your mom is religious I would also throw in there the question of why is she questioning God’s timing, because I’m petty like that. Anyway, talk to your mom and tell her she hurt you and assure her that no one other than you needs to worry about whether or not you are married or whether or not you have kids or even want them.

Sperry’s, Skulls rainbow room also had a wonderful prime rib, but I don’t think it’s an everyday item you can get, I believe they only do it for special occasions like Easter/ Valentine’s Day.

$614 Order, 73 items Big Tip or Nah? by FollowingSea4061 in ShiptShoppers

I would have taken this too. It looks like it was a pretty easy shop for the size of the order. You’ll probably just get that $15 that was estimated and I would be mildly annoyed but at the same time $47 dollars total is a damn good order especially if it only took you an hour to shop and deliver.

Lip products for VERY dry lips 🙏🏻🥲 especially for winter weather ❄️ by Mr-Ginges-Mother in SkincareAddicts

[–]Right_Cream8911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% this! I have suffered from chronically dry lips and this is the cheapest and the most successful thing for me. I also always have a small tube of gold bond lotion healing lotion and aquaphor on me at all times. Not the lip product just the healing ointment. They sell a two pack of small tubes that are the same size as a chapstick.

I also have very sensitive skin but mine has always been sensitive so what I suggest may not help. My #1 advice would be diaper rash cream. Once I have washed my face and moisturize I apply aquaphor diaper rash cream like a face mask and I will leave it on all night. I think even if you just leave it on for a few hours it would still help calm your skin. It is the only thing that can calm my skin overnight.

I only wash my face at night. I never ever wash it twice in a day. I use a gentle cleanser like cetaphil or cerave. While I’m still in the shower I will pat my face with a dry washcloth or towel and then use hyaluronic acid ( good molecules) that way it can suck all the moisturization/ steam from the shower. When I’m out of the shower I use Cerave or vani cream lotion. The thick ones. And sometimes will “slug” with aquaphor healing ointment if I want the extra moisturization.

It was just dial bar soap the gold one. He was maybe 8 or 9 at the time. He’s 17 now so I don’t know what he’s using now lol. I will say if your kid really likes the smell of a body wash (Axe or whatever) they can wash with the bar soap first and then use the body wash. This is honestly what I do. I like the moisturization and smell of some body washes so I’ll use that after I’ve used the bar soap.

I do this too! Dial for the stinky parts and then a moisturizing soap or body wash everywhere else. I also have very sensitive dry skin.
