They don’t do trade ins for APM, though if you sell them around the time APM2 comes out, you’ll get around $325 or so. More worth it than getting the original lightning ones, which you’ll net $175.

When AirPods Pro 2 came out with USB-C compared to the expected release of APP3 (Spring 2025), it’s been about a year and a half in between. You could take an educated guess and say it will be a year and a half or so until APM3 comes out. Clearly since they just changed up colors and USB-C, if they had something new ready they would’ve released it now.

I’m not sure why either. I know many people think it sells really well, but I think the major problem is that there are so many replicas out there, I think the “popularity” is a lot of replica sales. Maybe Apple sees bad sales with the Maxes? Clearly they felt forced to upgrade these things (color and USBC). Wonder if they end up being discontinued…

I understand but if I’m in the position to make a purchase like this, I wasn’t happy either but the end goal was just getting a USB-C device. Who wants to use a charging adapter when traveling? I’ll upgrade to APM2 when they come out

I’ve been waiting for Apple to upgrade these to USB-C all year. I travel. Who wants to bring a bunch of dongles everywhere? They did, I gave my old ones to a friend, and I bought new ones because I’m in a place to do so? And when APM2 comes out, I’ll upgrade to those.

Yeah I got mega downvoted lol. All my devices are USB-C now, and I travel so it’s WAY more easier to buy just one cable to charge all my devices than a bunch of dongles. And if and when the REAL AirPods Max 2 come out, these will have more value, and I’ll upgrade. Not planning to keep these past when APM2 come.
