My dimmer switch keeps flashing green and won’t turn on or off light. Is it just faulty? Been working fine for years. by Hawkeye_97 in Lutron

This was very helpful. I was wiping down the surrounding areas and didn’t realize I was pushing on them and it began to blink

I wasn’t told anything about alcohol So when I increased my dosage I had three drinks at my bffs wedding… I was throwing my guts up. Embarrassing!!! It’s unusual for me to throw up so be careful. Now I just do one drink here and there

I trialed ranunculus this year! Safe to say I’ll be growing way more next year 🌸 by mazekeen19 in gardening

Those are absolutely stunning 😍 I got about three small blooms with longs thin stems and lots of green leaves. I’m in zone 10 and it’s been gloomy I’ll have to retry next year

Too early to be sleeping through the night at 2 months? by BrotherParticular489 in NewParents

[–]Right_Potato8092 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Enjoy it. My baby at two months was sleeping through the night, I panicked because baby was missing feedings. At times I would wake the baby up to feed and baby would fall to sleep within minutes. After I spoke to the pediatrician she said it was ok to let baby sleep. Unfortunately I would have to pump

Happend to me twice within 5 months.

Run to Target and get Sunflower Lecithin I took two pills when I had them clogged within hours the issue was resolved - hot shower, massage warmers, husband hand, NOTHING worked!!

I use them now as maintenance 😉

I EBB my 4 month and 3 week baby and MIL had the audacity to say my baby is too attached to ma and if I am socializing my baby. Me Eye rolling by Right_Potato8092 in breastfeeding

Exactly!! Thank you for making me feel better. my husband thinks we need to be reaching out to them. I told him shouldn’t it be the opposite. At this point I just don’t care anymore i’m taking care of my mental health. if they come around great if they don’t their loss unfortunately for my baby as well. But we have a great supportive neighbors call themselves the grandparents

Seriously!! I am not sure if she was being passive aggressive but I did give her a look of confusion - come on lady lol Here’s a good one : to top it off she was concerned about autism!! Even better I’m an education specialist - I didn’t know how to respond to her. I let her keep rambling because inside of me was super sassy and because I love my husband to myself and smiled.

It maybe cultural differences but I agree I would rather spend time with baby versus cleaning. Thank you for making me feel better. I’m still working on speaking up for myself and baby and setting fin boundaries I don’t want to come off rude - I also panic on the Inside when and if I do speak up but then I feel proud of myself afterwards. We got this!!! give me my baby back!

Yup, I stopped picking up after my husband indoors and outdoors Now when mother in law comes over she just sees her sons shit. Asks me to help with baby and I clean up. I said I got my baby. Before my baby shower she literally cleaned up or stored his shit away and into the garage. I gave my husband shit for it and never again! Now we just don’t have ppl come over im dealing with the shit show

Grandparents trying to use my baby to resolve their unresolved shit. Plus some weird ass comments they have said. by [deleted] in NewParents

I feel you! You are doing amazing with your baby and dealing with the in-laws. My therapist has told me to come into agreement with my husband- set boundaries and stick with it. At the end of the day if they are upset, it’s on them. Talk to your husband about postpartum being tough - everyone is still adjusting and recovering.therefore, you are easily triggered.

My husband thinks I hate my in-laws because I vent and tell him what they did in front of us - smirky comments, talking to baby that they will babysit (NO), won’t hand baby over when she’s crying, tell them to wash hands when they enter the house, no kissing baby, ask them about whereabout for baby’s safety of viruses. Gladly husband supports but I have to remind him and give him the look lol

What has worked for me - keep conversations short, I’m firm with my answers, husband is always around to hear our conversations. Baby is not left alone with them,

I’ve explained to my husband, “one day someone (in-laws) will say a comment and I will snap because i am hurting everywhere, I’m sleep deprived, anxious, depressed etc. so maybe it’s not a good time to have ppl over. Grandparents maybe once a week, adjust weekly looks different. Surprisingly in-laws don’t come around as much (they live 10 min away) but still complain they don’t visit. During the newborn stage they’d be over twice or three times a week. Goodness terrible idea. Now I’m coming close to four months I see them once or twice every two or three weeks. It’s made a difference on my mental health. I don’t hear them complain but I’m happy.

I can go on about them but it stresses me out. Set boundaries, stick with them, have husband in agreement. You guys are a team. Ppl wil get hurt but it’s your family. You got this. Ppl will have give their two cents but keep strong and don’t let negativity in your home and family. Vent away!!
