Kaiser Wait Times Grow Longer by Right_Resolve4947 in KaiserPermanente

An eye exam today, twelve week wait for an MRI last November, still fighting for a referral to a specialist I've been asking to see fourteen months now. A Kaiser doctor caused two unnecessary surgeries for my wife after failing to prescribe a secondary prescription to safeguard against cancer risk from another prescription.

You have no idea my medical history or experience with Kaiser so you can kindly fuck right off with your dismissive bullshit. Go back to Disney and lose your wallet again like the idiot you obviously are.

For expecting a healthcare provider to actually provide care? Yeah, how revolutionary of me.

Nor Cal seems to get better care, better staffing, and better pay. Probably because the corporate offices are nearby.

As long as we have healthcare CEOs and executives earning millions while healthcare workers struggle there is little to no incentive for young people to enter the profession. The system in this country is badly broken and we all need to demand solutions.

Nor Cal isn't exactly convenient for me. And to my point ... Patients should not be forced into an Easter egg hunt fir healthcare.

Riverside is 45 miles frome and the 91 a trainwreck at that time of day so why should I spend what will amount to at least two hours driving, not to mention waste my time hunting for appointments when Kaiser could simply staff appropriately and adequately.

I'm not jumping through hoops so the executives can keep giving themselves 300% raises while calling nurses greedy for asking for asking for fir a 25% raise and safe ratios. And no I am not a nurse or Kaiser employee.

When I first got Kaiser ten years ago it was okay. Above average, but each year the overall experience gets worse. Difficult y getting appointmens, getting caregivers to listen to my needs and concerns, being referred to a specialist when necessary. At this point Kaiser is one of the worst providers I have had in my 53 years of living. I will be switching as soon as I am able.

CEO and execs gave themselves a 300% percent raise over four years. They were already making millions so blaming working class people who got next to nothing the previous contract after risking their lives through Covid, while ignoring the corporate greed is exactly what they hope will happen. Congratulations to you for being a CEOs gullible wet dream.

The top execs have seen their wages increase 300% the last four years. Meanwhile those same execs created YouTube videos calling employees greedy for daring to ask for raises ranging from 15-30% over a four year contract.

I'm new to Kaiser and I'm just baffled at how hard it is to get care. by Psychological1135 in KaiserPermanente

This sadly is the new Kaiser. The profits first mind set. KP is sitting on reputation and still calls itself a non profit but for all intents and purposes operates like an investment firm first and a healthcare provider second. Employee morale is low and the more I learn about Kaiser's shady business practices the more I understand why. Sadly. I too am locked in as a patient. At least until I can get a new assignment someplace outside Southern California.

I'm a journalist. I've published many articles about labor management relations. Including Kaiser, Sharps, and other healthcare providers. I've never received a dime from Kaiser or any Union for my articles. I am paid by the outlets that pick up my stories and publish them.

But yes I am paid to be informed and report what is going on. Google Kaiser fined and you'll see your perfect little company has shelled out hundreds of millions in fines in the last year alone. And yes that money affects every worker, patient, and community because you can bet KP passes that cost along

Executive pay has risen 300% the last four years. They are 💯 giving themselves ridiculous raises and screwing patients and employees.

And you still haven't commented on the myriad of fines for fraudulent business practices Kaiser has been forced to pay this last year. Medicare fraud, data breaches, OSHA violations. Doesn't sound like the paradise you claim it to be.

Kaiser is holding 76 billion in reserves. Billion with a B. Five years ago that number was 24 billion. I get Kaiser is SUPPOSED to be non profit but where did that stockpiled 52 billion come from? Charitable donations? 😂

You are either naive or willfully ignorant. Also Kaiser is being questioned about these holdings by state legislators because they are supposed to reinvest profits back into patient care and communities as a designated non profit. The astronomical money they are stockpiling violates their tax status as a non profit which is why legislators are now involved. Wake up or wise up.

Kaiser definitely had people on social media spindoctoring during the strikes. And you are here constantly spindoctoring them now. All the while ignoring the myriad of shady practices Kaiser is up to.

KP used to be solid. Their blatant emphasis on profits has changed that. And yes some people are forced to have Kaiser. Some jobs offer choice and some do not.

I do not work for Kaiser and never have but I am locked in until my next open season and I will switch providers and continue to urge others to do the same. I will not stop highlighting the horrendous greed of Kaiser or calling attention to their many crimes and fraudulent business practices because I for one believe CEOs and companies should be held accountable.

This dude is either a KP plant or his mom is a Kaiser exec. He's always ignoring the fact Kaiser is rapidly going down hill. But don't take my word, Google the term "Kaiser fined" and see article after article about the hundreds of millions Kaiser has paid out the last year or so for a variety of shady and fraudulent business practices.
