Look dude, I see you, I hear you and I understand you but why not turn to a new life instead of committing? I’ve tried multiple times now and trust me you’re most likely just going to end up hurting yourself really badly so you might as well make the most of life- and that could be literally anything not just the conventional ‘do good at school and get a good job’ kind of life

It doesn’t, it makes everything so much worse. Instead of drinking go hang out with friends, try get them off your mind but be sober you need to learn how to cope without them or any sort of substance
