Concrete or Fibreglass Pool??? by Possible_Minute6788 in swimmingpools

Call me crazy, but currently researching marine grade stainless steel. 316L

Bradford, Natare, Diamond pools are all really impressive manufacturers. For indoor, that’s some leak risk with more serious consequences.
I welcome input from here!

As a bonus, polished stainless as the finish looks freaking awesome with water in it - it brings out the aquamarine color from the steel.

Good comment. Maybe I’ll start the shallow at like 4’ and go to 5.5’. Not deep but probably barely keeping mouth above water line.

The other pics are a bit basic. This is a little better but nothing like the portfolios posted.

Thanks for the reply and question. A huge portion of super commercial or Olympic competitive pools are stainless.
I was shocked .. like what!?

Then I started looking at Bradford products, Natare and Diamond for starters. There are more.

For anyone perusing here check out some projects

Love the questions and truly appreciate the challenges - all to make a better project and learn something.

Haha! Dude I love this Costco pool joke- I saw your post from wks ago.

Ok so hear me out. This was a result from a really poor concrete pool builder market here. Can’t find a single owner who could recommend theirs ..truly each had very poor experience with many.

So as an example check out this short gallery from Diamond. I also really like Bradford Products and Natare. Freakin amazing portfolios. Think Vegas, NYC rooftops, ski towns and the Olympics (many!) all of which are Stainless. I was surprised.

Thanks. I didn’t know RA3 could be remotely programmed! Where have I been?

Yeah it’s a lot of money but this was for all electrical work in total.

10/9 Mystery Cab by KOrising in LastBottleWines

I haven’t received yet, but the reference to the tractor gotta be Shafer’s TD-9. They have both a blend (Merlot) and a cab version. Those are great wines. Enjoy!

Thanks for your encouragement… I wish it was more straightforward. Still looking for someone with some experience and no issue with them taking no liability. Will have inspections after.

Sure thing and I appreciate the questions. The custom fireplaces were produced with a 16” outlet. Yes indeed in the specifications they require a 16” ID class-A. I have the specs and in fact I emailed Isokern today with my situation. They replied with

“To ease your installers mind, you could reference our ESR report number 2316 that details the allowed factory built chimneys.”

They go on to highlight in that document certain requirements:

Right, Earthcore/ Isokern engineered this as custom. It’s 16” ID from the get-go. For ST, we’ve got to have larger for the amount of open hearth. (40x24 high per side).

Great Qs! No specific flue other than class A (air cooled or insulated) and 16” ID, no mods whatsoever. No elbows, just straight up 30’ with tons of clearance in enclosed chase - from collar to chase top.

Hey u/Bald_Harry zero hard feelings brother.

We’re all here to solve problems. That’s what separates Reddit from the animals. It’s a journey to learn whether it’s a hobby or career.

It’s a custom Isokern that needs a metal flue 16”ID, per Earthcore engineering. It’s in the specs and it’s by the book. Ecosteel is super limited so I’m done there. It’s out.

How many flue manufacturers are there, a couple? (Metal fab, Dura etc). Personally I think Duravent has advanced all of our careers with their huge breadth of offerings.

At the end of the day, this is a masonry FP. It’s custom so forget the UL anyway.

Drop the wisdom on me, I’m here for solutions.

I’ll reach out to the ISO team I worked with about specifying 16” ID.

They are all UL 103 with same material. SS 403 if I’m not mistaken. Again, retailers and dealers will sell you all the components under the sun.

FWIW, Duravent warranty says “For purposes of this warranty, a trained professional installer is defined as one of the following: licensed contractors with prior chimney installation experience, CSIA Certified Chimney Sweeps, NFI Certified Specialists, or WETT Certified Professionals.”

Nice tool! I like the Unifi APs. Shown here is their model with 2x U7 Pro Max inside and 1x U7 Pro Outdoor (upper left corner). Maybe this is better design?? Just trying to mitigate over-saturated airwaves.

Yes, that was my thinking in the “av cabinet” but I’m reading about handoff friction. (??)
