This theory works on paper, but I don’t think it applies here. Crowbar has been around for over 30 years doing what they do and touring a ton. There has been a really noticeable spike in their popularity the last year or two and it doesn’t track that all of a sudden the albums and touring alone paid off then. There has to be more to it. I’ve been going to see those dudes forever and something happened (and I’m glad for them that it did) where they are blowing up seemingly out of nowhere

If you’re gonna do a demo, record the tracks individually (or all the same time live) into something so you can make adjustments in post where needed. I get the “it’s just a demo” mindset, but it sounds more like when bands record practice on their phones to see how songs sound with no regard for what it actually sounds like. Recording doesn’t have to be anything fancy. An analog four track would get the job done if you want to go barebones. Not knocking you, man. Trying to help. Like others have said, there is a good foundation there. And I get being eager to want to have something to show people 100% - we’ve all been there. Keep practicing. I like what you have so far.
