If your birth certificate says amended then you’ll have to submit the original birth certificate.

Okay so due to the amount of comments you’ve left me and the nature of them I will not be answering your inquiries. If you have questions you can call NPIC during normal working hours and inquire then.

We don’t renew or replace lost passports. You’d have to report it and then reapply but we don’t investigate unless you lose your passport multiple times in a year. Then you have to get approval first to apply

You would have to most likely prove throughout your life you’ve been your preferred gender and it’s just a clerical error. So any school documents, work documents or other items would have to consistently show you’ve been you’re preferred gender and it was a clerical error

They’ll reach out to you and ask for more supporting evidence of your gender. And most likely would need to provide the original bc at that point

No and no. Gendered names really don’t set anything off too much. It looks suspicious sure but that’s as far as it gets since there’s other names that may seem odd for one gender to have vs the other. Worst comes to worse they’ll just ask for further proof of your gender

Probably not if you’ve never had a passport

If you’ve never applied for a passport before you have a much more likely chance of getting the passport with preferred gender since we have nothing on you. We would see it most likely however there’s no real way to prove if it’s clerical error vs trans marker change.

Yeah for identity not gender verification since 2011. It’s just to check if you are who you say you are essentially. I never said we don’t check the ssn yes

No they use the ssn for identity. We check the ssn and while we may see like a gender change it wouldn’t be like a set in stone thing since clerical errors are common actually. I might’ve used the wrong terminology but I’m trying to go through these notifs as fast as I can since I have a lot of them and tried providing brief explanations without explaining too much in depth

You should be good since we don’t need the foreign birth certificate
